okay dude slow down there. i respect your opinion because not everyone has the same taste in which couple they like. but to claim gesun’s relationship was not not as mature and in depth as haoyan’s to me is just comical, unless you’re joking of course. if so then that had really made me laugh.

Yeah I didn't really blame him. I just thought that it was funny how he wasn't able to carry her haha. I actually think they had pretty good chemistry from the times that they've acted together, but I definitely prefer Leo hehe. I probably will always prefer Leo to any of her other co-stars past or future. These were just perfect together.

I completely agree with you dude!! I don't know why people found him being jealous of his own son endearing and cute. Thats just childish and toxic! She sentiments about GeSun and their relationship as well as what you said about Ashina Sun. Such an amazing man, one that I could only hope to find haha :,)

With the drama coming to an end tomorrow, I feel so sad knowing that I won't be able to converse with you all like this again about our GeSun as well as this drama. I've really grown fond of everyone and literally love you all. Who knows when we'll be able to get another amazing drama like this? And even if we do I just know it won't be the same. My heart will forever be for the long ballad as well as the people in this amazing forum :,) thank you so much everyone for the wonderful discussions, theories, and fangirling/fanboying. the flame's daughter was pretty enjoyable, and like you I also liked the back story of bin bin and raba much better. I thought it was kinda weird how vic's character got together/fell in love with raba's character because she was a reincarnation of his ex lover. I'm not really a fan of those tropes because I feel like he isn't actually in love with her but her past self. From what was portrayed in the drama, both raba's past character and reincarnated character are both very different in terms of personality and what not.

However, I am a sucker for tropes of when both leads are reincarnations of themselves, because then they would both fall in love again with no feelings from the past influencing them. if the drama were to be like that then I wouldn't have minded raba's and vic's pairing as much haha. anyways that's just my opinion tho lol, others could definitely think differently :)

that's so funny haha. I personally didn't like vengo's character either. communication and respect is big for me in a relationship, and in elod, the way that vengo's character treated raba's character as a child and didn't share with her about any of his thoughts and plans really irritated me. another thing was that he treated her like a child, which makes sense in a way since her character was like a teenager? and he was also much older, however, in a relationship, both sides have to treat each other as equals and respect each other.

fortunately for me, there is the existence of the long ballad, and our lovable Gesun couple who both respect each other and have awesome communication. I just love this drama so much, and Leo as Ashile Sun is probably by far my most favorite male lead out of ANY drama I've ever watched. :,)

oh yeah definitely haha, Vengo and Raba wasn't my favorite either, I liked her more with Zhang bin bin cause they look more visually attractive together, however, they don't have the oozing chemistry that Leo and Raba have with each other xD. I don't usually ship the noona/dongsaeng relationship but I just LOVE Leo and Raba together. I love how he matches her energy and how well they get along with each other. The way that Leo is so protective and behaves so gentlemanly towards her makes my own heart flutter haha.

can i ask why you don’t like vengo with raba? the only instance i became unfond of him was when he called her heavy despite being such a grown man. besides that i feel like raba is also close and comfortable with him due to being friends for many years. xD

dude i literally picked up watching vincenzo to help me get through waiting for new episodes to come out for the long ballad. and even though vincenzo is so good, i still find myself getting bored and can’t fully focus on it cause i’m still thinking about the long ballad ㅠㅠ

dude me. sunshine is literally my favorite kdrama. there’s some stuff about it that reminds of the long ballad so much.

for example there’s 5 main characters, all lovable in their own way. aeshin and chang ge are both noble women who grew up through their experiences and fought for their country. eugene and a’sun both supporting male leads who are military generals do everything they can to protect the female lead and treat them as their equals. dong mae and hao du are both seen as cold and cold blooded swordsman but have a soft spot for one of the female leads. and hui seong and shuyu are characters that are connected to the female lead that makes the male lead jealous.

these are just similarities i thought of. there are many more, but would result in a very long essay lol.
