I’ve been complaining about MDL ratings a lot recently. Youd see a drama with trash storyline getting high ratings just because people like the actors.
Now we have this absolutely entertaining show getting downvoted cos they’re not “getting the thrill from season 1”. Like excuse them, season 1 was a shocker cos it was like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Now that we’ve been introduced to the world of squid game, we sort of know what to expect. So people comparing season 1 to 2 in that light make me seriously shake my head for their intelligence level.

And like you’ve pointed out, people outside of MDL loved it!

8.9 is pretty high, too high for what I’m getting out of this drama. Just finished episode 3 and the story be like it’s playing with my intelligence. First of all, why would this babe get almost kidnapped and not report the case to the police? And she thinks it’s a good idea to keep and be using the kidnapper’s phone when it can easily be tracked, knowing how intelligent the kidnapper is (hacking and controlling her car, with the dash cam disappearing and all). She keeps quiet over the first attempt, second attempt, she kept quiet too, fire incident too, now kidnapper has gotten to her father and she’ll probably keep quiet about that too.

Then the husband! Why has he pretended for 3 years to hate the girl when he clearly doesn’t. Let’s even leave love and romance out of the equation for now, but what happened to basic kindness? Why did he start off the marriage spewing hateful gabbage to this babe when it’s his father political ambition that needs the marriage more? What does he stand to gain from being a hateful puss? And denying the marriage in public? Why? He now comes at the end of episode 3 telling the cops that’s his wife, like we’re supposed to give him a round of applause 🙄. Let me not even get started on the drama when he was trying to check the mole on her thigh. The whole plot is giving silly so far tbh.

And I’m starting to doubt MDL ratings

It says romance. I’m currently on episode 6 and I don’t see it, or I’m not feeling it. The subtle bromance vibe is giving me more life tbh. If the romance is meant to be btw Zhu Yan and Wen Xiao, then I’m sorry to say they have zero chemistry so far.

On each character, the little kid doctor is annoying. Always screaming and screeching for no reason. SFL always frowning, why girl? Main FL’s acting is flat. The two MLs are the ones practically carrying the show so far.

I see it’s rated really high, does that mean the story get better later, or there’s something else behind the high rating?

I really want to enjoy this drama cos I like the fight scenes and both MLs are really good, but the story and other characters…. I don’t know man

Why is this drama 16 episodes long? I just struggled to finish episode 13 and I’m not sure I want to continue. Things keep going around in pointless circles and the main couple’s relationship is giving what I don’t know.
First they were acting like kids around themselves before they got intimate (like they’re above 30’s o and have been in previous relationships before), then they became awkward with each other for no reason, then they got along, then babe says she needs a one week break again, then they reconciled when someone was injured.
Like why does someone have to be almost dying for the other party to take their relationship seriously??
