Writer-nim ghosted the last couple of episodes!
Great start, the team hit the bullseye, but in the last 3 or 4 episodes they got tired, and they tried to wrap it up, but they didn't use the right spell. At first, it was a lot of fun, with a decent writing, and good acting, but let's be real. This is another example when the creators didn't do much with a potential that "Head over Heels" had!
I don't want to talk about the romance, because I don't feel it was the best written part of it, the two main lead did a good job, but I never felt, they're actually in love. So, let's talk about what's actually important.
The show is about Shamans, ghosts, afterlife, and everything that comes with this. We got a great villain, two, actually. Both of them had their reasons, and I can empathize with them, but at the end of the day, they did many bad things to achieve their goals, so the way the writer wrapped up their story was lazy and bland! I don't like when everyone has to get a happy ending, and I'm not even sure what happened with Yeomhwa. Her story was unfinished in my opinion.
And this is my biggest problem, we already knew the real name of Bongsu, they had the chance to ask his name, but they had to stretch the story longer, even did a 3 year time jump, and for what? I'm so done with this nonsense where the so called EXPERT of the show can't come up with a real plan so they have to sacrifice themselves, but in the finale, the guy who doesn't know anything about ghosts can come up with a better one. Seongha has to beg for the help of the Fairy and everything is wrapped up nicely.
This part irritated me the most, because her mom gave up everything, including her life to save both of them, yet Yeomhwa wanted to kill her foster-sister basically, that was her whole plan in 3 years, and Seongha just let the ghost guy to go on rampage, even tho she watched her mom die. Like, you can't be a bigger fool, even if you try.
I'm sorry, but this is just LAZY WRITING! They could've finished the story in episode 10 or 11, and do a slice of life story in the finale. The side characters and both main lead deserved a better ending, not just the same old Kdrama one.
I would've loved a sad ending better than this one, if I'm being honest.
Overall, it's good, and I think I will rewatch it again someday, but I'm really disappointed again with yet another finale!

Peak Guilty Pleasure!
Satan who's a Genie, and a Psychopath falling in love?Put aside your agenda, this is a BRAINLESS FUN!
Asking this from people is pretty much impossible, like eating sand, and thinking you're not thirsty anymore.
Anyway, the story doesn't really offer much, it's your average fantasy drama, but it's a LOT OF FUN! Isn't that most Kdrama fans want? The plot couldn't be more basic, you know what's gonna happen even before you start watching it. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy the ride, tho, because not only the two main lead, Suzy and Woobin are great, but every other actors as well. They deserve the praise.
To be honest, I expected some lazy writing, and a typical ending, and we can say the finale was kind of similar to many fantasy drama, I still think they did a good job. I have to admit, they surprised me with that one twist in the end with our lovely grandma. For me, SHE IS THE MVP! Both Kim Mi Kyung and Ahn Eun Jin, not to mention, Lee Joo Young (as Minji) were amazing! Almost everyone deserve a friend like her!
My biggest complaint is the writer missed a good opportunity with the wishes, they could've delved into that part deeper, because the so called villains of the story were bland at best. The love story was good, but it's not something you can't see in any other drama. The one thing that actually made it more interesting is that the male lead is Satan, and a female lead is a psychopath. The duo was insanely good together in every possible way, and even tho it might be not obvious for many, but Kayeong's last wish was also surprising, and it was obvious she didn't realize what her wish actually meant.
The way they broke the 4th wall was unnecessary, but in some cases it was funny, especially that one cameo.
So, in general, this is a pretty good drama if you only need a fun ride, but don't expect too much seriousness. It had its moments with some deeper meaning, but that was mostly about family.
Don't believe everything you read online, this show doesn't deserve the ridiculous hate, because it's not about the story, and everyone knows that.
If you want a good guilty pleasure drama, this is for you!

Absolute GARBAGE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
No, I'm not exaggerating, this is easily one of THE WORST Kdrama I've EVER watched!I can't understand how people can give more than 3/10 for this show, because other than the acting, there's nothing in it that's actually good. It was like it was written by a newbie!
In the first 12 episode NOTHING happened, not even kidding, you can skip the first 12 episodes, and you won't miss a single thing.
I should get an Award watched every episode without skipping a single scene, but honestly, I only did it, because of Seohyun! That's all.
Okay, so, firstly: Like I said, the writing is not just a HOT MESS, it's GARBAGE! No character development whatsoever, there isn't a beginning or an ending in the story.
The first couple of episode were interesting with all the spy drama and the swindler plot, but the minute the main focus was the spy stuff, it became boring, and the story was all over the place! I'm 100% sure it was written by AI.
It's one thing that the characters always changing sides, but do you know where I drew the line? When they shot someone in the head, and in the finale he's miraculously doing shenanigans with his woman, again! I mean, we never get a single explanation if he actually died, or it was just a set-up, but one thing is for sure, he was shot in the head, and Yoon was shocked as hell, so she didn't know anything, that's for sure.
Also, the main characters should've died like 100 times, the Company wants to kill them, yet they can meet with them without any problem, and just leave.
It's one thing to finish off the story in the finale, because in Kdrama world, that's a usual thing 99% of the time, but what the actual hell was that finale? Not only the fact that Wook is still alive, but that One Hand guy looks like was working with the other company, and we didn't get any explanation about that either.
Also, the actual ending with the new President, and the wedding scene was another nail in the coffin. So, you want to tell me, they want to get married, again, but he had to leave, again? Why?
It's not an open ending, or sad ending, it's just a GARBAGE ending, they finished the show without any explanation, it was like someone cut the cable, and you can't watch the actual finale.
Anyone who rate this drama more than 4/10 is crazy!
The OST and the directing was also below-average, I only gave 3/10, because of the actors!

8 hours, felt like 4!
I wanted to watch this Kdrama for a very long time. Now, I had some free time, and even tho, this is a fantastic show, it felt like they wanted a marathon, but eventually it became a sprint. The bases of the story are nothing special, to be honest. This is a typical revenge story. What makes it great is the acting!!! Han So Hee literally carried the whole show on her back. If you want to watch this show for the plot, just ignore it, because after 2 episode or so, you're going to figure out everything. Especially if this isn't your first crime/revenge drama. The story is pretty simple, someone killed Ji Woon's dad, and she wants revenge. That's the whole story. This is like the female version of John Wick! Han So Hee's acting is absolutely phenomenal! You can tell that she's worked like crazy to make us feel, she's actually a badass fighter, and she is! Sure, sometimes fight scenes are weird because the camera movements are fast, and just like in John Wick the protagonist should've died a long time ago, and not just her. But if you can ignore this, and the average story, it's a really good, action packed 8 hours!
The big problem with this show is that it's too short, and I feel like the writer didn't really know what she wanted from this story. Sometimes Ji Woon wants revenge, but here comes the romance, if we can call it that, because it came from nowhere, it just happened. I don't know what was the point if they killed him in the process, just so we can have a big ass fight scene. They should've ignored the whole romance story, especially because I don't think the chemistry was there.
Also, the finale felt like they lost interest or didn't have enough money to finish it like they wanted to. We literally don't know anything about what happened with Ji Woon after she killed Moo Jin. How did she survive, why she's not in prison, etc?! It was like they cut out 30 minute.
For me: the best ending would've been Ji Woon kills Moo Jin, but she would've died in the process, because what now? She's going to live alone, without any punishment? Makes no sense. You can't just live a normal life after killing so many people.
So, yeah, this is a great drama overall, but it felt like a 1st season, and I don't think there's going to be a 2nd season, and I don't think we need another season, because she finished what she started. With 10 episode, this show would be perfect!

Why it's not perfect?
To answer to my own question, I have no idea! How should I describe Castaway Diva in a simple way? It's a show about people whom are fighting for their families, their love, their dreams, and never give up! Mokha is probably the most inspiring character I've seen for a long time. Park Eun Bin and the whole cast and crew deserve every award! I don't know if I should've given 10/10 or 9/10 for this show. It feels like I'm nitpicking, but honestly, there were a couple of things in the story that could've been a LITTLE BIT better. IN MY HEART, THIS IS A PERFECT DRAMA, but as a more critical person, it's "ONLY" 9/10! It would be surprising if Park Eun Bin and the crew won't win anything next year. Amazing show, masterclass acting, one of the best written show in 2023, the entire production was top-notch, and probably had THE Best OST too. I don't even remember when was the last time a Kdrama had a perfect OST, not just the songs, but the score too.
Here comes the long part!😅
What I LOVED about the Castaway Diva, is that on the surface it's about a girl who idolize a singer, and she wants to be a singer too, just like her Idol. But if you watch the whole show, and you pay attention, you'll see, it's about finding your own path, finding happiness, and that's not fame or money, it's LOVE and FAMILY! Nowadays, these words became cliché, thanks to the souless movies. This show is about REAL PEOPLE with REAL STRUGGLES. Most Kdrama creator don't even dare to put half of what the Castaway Diva creators put in this show. In the past 6 weeks I saw so many comments from people, complaining, when will we see Mokha as an Idol. The sad part in this fandom is that most Kdrama fans aren't used to the real world stories. They want fantasy, and that's okay, but for me, there's nothing more important than learning something meaningful from a show, movie, or a book. A story can be fun, even if the story doesn't make sense at all. Marvel movies proved it for years, but if you're watching the same thing over and over, it will become boring eventually. This Kdrama showed everyone, you can write a fun show even if it's realistic and dealing with many real world problems like, domestic abuse, depression, alcoholism, toxicity, prejudice, or insecurity. Why is it so hard to be an Idol in Korea (especially if you're older than 30) or just being an average person who can't even ask help, because the Korean legal system is messed up so much. What I liked the most, is that there wasn't a single character who was one dimensional or boring.
I'm sure, for most of you, Mokha and Kiho were the best couple, and it's not like I don't love them. Easily one of the best romantic couple of all time, probably! They really fought for each other, especially Kiho, but like Park Eun Bin said in an interview: "That's a fantasy!"🤣 I love fantasy, but what I LOVE THE MOST is when two women don't hate each other, they're not perfect, and don't want to kill each other for the most ridiculous reason.
THE BEST PART in Castaway Diva were Mokha and Ranjoo's sisterhood. Even if some people didn't understand it sometimes, they fought for each other like real sisters, NEVER wanted to betray each other for fame or money. I honestly don't want anything else, but seeing Park Eun Bin and Kim Hyo Jin winning "The best couple" award, because this year, there's no one who deserve it more!
I don't think anyone can write a review about a show with Park Eun Bin being the main lead, without mentioning the fact that she proved over and over for more than 20 years now, her versatile skills as an actress. Every time she's on the screen, the viewer is either crying or laughing, or both.😅 I honestly think that there's nothing she can't do. She was a wife and mother who fought for her family in a Joseon dynasty in 'Hur Jun, the Origin Story'. She was a troubled young adult in 'Age of Youth', a fierce warrior "King" in the 'The King's Affection', and a brilliant lawyer with ASD in the 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo', and now: She's literally debuted as an Idol, and proved to everyone that she can win a Grammy for her singing skills too. If someone only watched Castaway Diva from her, I'm 110% sure, they will think, Park Eun Bin was an Idol first and became an actress later.
I have to mention the other actors too, especially the two young actors: Moon Woo Jin (as the young Kiho) and Lee Re (as the young Mokha), because without them, I don't think this show would be this good. They're THE MAIN REASON the 1st episode was PERFECT! Having acting skills like they have at a young age is probably a talent they were born with. Being kid actors is always hard, especially in Kdramas, but being in the same level with the adults is a talent that not everyone has.👏
Chae Jong Hyeop and Cha Hak Yeon proved again, they're not just pretty boys. The nuances in their acting, not something you can learn easily. A writer can write the best script in the world, but if the actors are not good enough, it's going to be a disaster.
The same goes for Kim Hyo Jin and Kim Joo Heon. Like I said, the characters aren't one dimensional, that's why sometimes you can hate them and a couple of minutes later you love them again. Especially after you realize why they're doing what they're doing.
I'm glad Hyo Jin's Ranjoo wasn't just a simple mentor or a finished article who's jealous of Mokha or Eun Morae. There's a good reason, Ranjoo was my favorite character after Mokha. I love characters with flaws, with real problems, and Ranjoo had everything. She proved that she's not a finished article, she was the best mentor and friend that a real fan like Mokha could ask for. Her story with her mother and with her mentor, and to be honest, a second dad, was the cherry on the top. Like I said, masterclass acting and writing! I don't think I will forget the scene where Ranjoo singing for her mother.
If we say, Kiho is the best boy that a girl can ask for, or as kids say it nowadays, a walking green flag, Daddy Kang was a whole forest with his forest fairy, Song Ha Jung. 😅 Daddy Kang (Lee Joong Ok) and Song Ha Jung's (Seo Jung Yeon) love story could probably top even Mokha and Kiho's. I don't think there's too many people who can endure the amount of pain and misery that they had to deal with. Living in fear for more than 15 years, raising two kid, dealing with judgmental people and still love each other and don't run away, instead fighting for their family. There's nothing harder than that.
Lee Seung Joon as Jung Bong Wan won't go down as the best person in the history of Kdramas, but the fact is that he's one of the best written antagonist. He wasn't a typical evil person who would do everything to achieve his goal. I don't think there will be a single person who will sympathies with him, but his character is a great example, what happens when you have too much power and freedom to do whatever you want. Even tho, he loved his family in his own way, it was one of the best representation of a toxic relationship, and they showed us why is it hard to leave people like him, even after so many years.
I have to mention the director and the writer too. Park Hye Ryun (writer) and Oh Choong Hwan (director) worked together once, but this time, in my humble opinion, they made something really SPECIAL that people won't forget for a very long time. I hope they will win something for their work, because they deserve it, BIG TIME!
I could talk about the Castaway Diva for a week, why everyone should watch it, but I don't want to waste your time with reading my novel, so just go, and watch Castaway Diva!😅
I'll end my review with my favorite line from the show. There were MANY, but this is probably the most meaningful of them all!
"- I guess it’s true that givers create takers. You were the one who was the giver, and I was the taker.
- Why are you a taker? You’re a gift."

A bit too much? Yes!
Honestly, I only watched this because I love Park Bo Young, but the first half of the season was funny and entertaining. Even tho it looked like it was made in the early 2000s.😅 The base of the story was great, but I was disappointed, because they didn't do anything with it. I mean, why she's so strong, where comes her power etc. The main characters, Bong Soon and Min Hyuk were great together. Bo Young and Hyung Sik had a great chemistry. It really is a feelgood show with some crime story in it. Nothing special, but overall, a decent drama. One of the most predictable drama too. What I didn't liked, is the second part. The romance was good, but sometimes it was too childish, still it was funny. The biggest problem with this show is the writing. It was all over the place and over the top. One normal guy is smarter and tougher than anyone, basically. Also, this show should've been a 12 episode max. There were way too many filler episodes with the school kids and those mafia guys. I don't skip parts in anything, but this time I felt I have to because neither of those scenes added anything to the story. Not even the scene with Bong Soon's parents at the shop.
The love triangle was weird as hell, but I was happy that they didn't do the same cliché stuff, but I didn't like it when they started it again in the finale. It was 100% unnecessary, and also, childish.
Overall, it's a good, fun show, if you're not thinking about the plot too much. Park Bo Young is probably enough to carry the show until the finale.

REFRESHING!!!
First of all, let's just say, I'm surprised!!! Why? Because I thought that this is going to be a typical fairy tale drama, but no, it isn't!!! Let me say one thing for those who want to watch this show, and they have huge expectations. FORGET THEM ALL! It's not a typical love drama, and it's not even a feelgood drama. IF you watched 'Crash Landing on You', you will have almost the same experience, and it's not a coincidence because both show made by the same director! This is not a fantasy where everything is good and there are rainbows and cute puppies.😅 This drama is REAL as it gets. If you hate one or more characters because of their decisions, I'm not surprised. BUT if you ever loved someone, especially when you were young, you will understand why this show is a fantastic representation of “young love” and young people in general. Sure, we could say, Doona sometimes willful, violent or just don't care about anyone else but herself. That's only the surface! This drama showed us how fame can ruin a person's life, and not everything is as it seems, and maybe you want to watch TV shows because you want to escape from reality. If you want to do that, DON'T WATCH THIS DRAMA! Like I said, this isn't a fairy tale! The characters are real, Doona too. The whole Idol part of the show just scratched the surface, to be honest, because being a celebrity is way worse than we have seen in this show. So, I'm not that surprised that the ending wasn't a typical Disney fairy tale. BTW, the ending. If you want happy ending, you have to pay attention!!! Again, YOU HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION, because the director purposefully blended every scene together perfectly, so you have to think twice or even more if you want to know what happened, especially in the second half of the season. He sprinkled a LOT of info and little scenes in the intro and in the episodes where you can find clues how the show really ended! Honestly, I bow down for the director because in my lifetime (36 years) I didn't witness a creative directing like this too many times!
My only problem with the show, is that it's too short, 9 episode nothing. I could watch 9 more. I hope there will be a second season, because if we don't count the minor issues and the short season, this show could've been perfect.

Mr Lovable D*ckhead!
"Planktons are the very bottom of the food chain. The lowliest creatures in all the oceans."This quote will hunt me for a long time!
I don't want to talk about this drama for long, because this isn't just an ordinary show that you can watch, and move on, and I don't see the point to go into details and spoilers.
One thing I will say, these characters, especially the two leads, Hae Jo and Jae Mi are CRAZY, but they're not bad people, not toxic, not red flags, they're just kids hurt by the world, and their own family! They do some weird things, but you just can't blame them, because they don't know better, and all they want is LOVE!
You can only understand this, if you experienced something similar!
Mr. Plankton is not a fairy tale about a Princess and the Prince Charming, this is 100% about real people with a really messy life!
This is a well-written show, with fantastic actors, and a meaningful story! It's not perfect, I honestly think they could've skipped some unnecessary potlines, bot overall, this is an amazing show.
I'm sure, many people think the ending wasn't that good, but if you think about the fact that it was about Hae Jo's point of view, it's understandable why they finished the story the way they did.
It would be nice to see what happened to the others, but he can't see that, and that's why we didn't see it either!
This is a MUST for everyone who loves crazy, but real, and meaningful stories.

Quantity over quality!
People say: Less is more. Now, Vincenzo is THE prime example of that! First, the ONLY thing that saved this show from being boring hot garbage is the acting and Inzaghi. He was the best character on the show.🤣 Jokes aside, I love mafia stories and Vincenzo had a huge potential to be a fantastic show, but it isn't! Why? Well, 20 episodes are too much, especially if every episode was just as long as a whole movie. If every episode had been 40 minute long, now that would make the show much better. Also, I really liked the action, and most of the drama parts of the story. The chemistry between the characters, not just the two main lead, were great. Some comedic scenes were funny, but most of them were over the top and totally unnecessary. Sometimes it felt like the show is more of a mafia genre parody. Where this show really shines is the action and the couple of dramatic scenes, like the stories with the parents. Song Joong Ki as Vincenzo is absolutely perfect, he was really charismatic, badass, funny, and he was great in the dramatic scenes too. Jeon Yeo Been as Cha Young was almost as good as Joong Ki, their chemistry was great, but because of the lazy writing her character felt too much sometimes. I liked the side characters too in the house, but like I said, they were the comedic side of the story and sadly, it was too much most of the time. What irritates me the most is that they had more than 25 hours to wrap up the story, but they still managed to include like 3 or more different stories in one episode. I don't mind if they want to include the love story, I liked them together, but if you want them to be together, why do it in the last 5 minute? Makes zero sense. I could mention like 10+ plot holes, but it would take a day to write everything down. Honestly, sometimes I felt, they just wanted a show with cool action scenes, but they forgot to do something with the characters. Disappointing, really. This show is what I call OVERRATED!

No lies detected!
- If you sell a good lie, people will buy it. Literally! -This is how you can describe this drama in the best possible way. As a debutant writer, Chu Song Yeon excelled in this. Is it good if it's all a lie or not?
"The Art of Sarah" has one important meaning behind all the lies, and even if the story is confusing for some, this part was obvious from the beginning. It doesn't matter who Sarah Kim is, that's not the main plot here. She doesn't matter at all. She's just another cog in the machine. A replaceable person who sells lies, and what she achieved proves how shallow people are.
Sarah started out as a nobody, just wanted to live her ordinary life, but everyone above her looked down on her and treated her like trash. So, she decided to fight back and make everyone believe that she's someone who can rival any of the the of elite brands and millionaires. She proved that most people only see the surface.
We can criticize many things, like the useless cops or how a new brand can survive in the harshest industry, but ultimately the story isn't really a fiction. It's based on reality. Why? Because you can sell anything if you can make people believe it's worth buying. It doesn't matter if it's a fancy fashion brand or a person. This is how the biggest brands can survive for decades. Not because they're selling the best products, they're selling the best story. People don't buy products, they buy stories and brands. In the age of social media, buying the most expensive things is even more important now.
"If you can't tell the fake from the real, is it really fake?"
This is probably the most important quote from the show, and it tells you everything about the only important part of the story you have to care about.
I could criticize everything else all day, especially the detective work. I mean, if we can call it work, but I don't see the point. "The Art of Sarah" is nothing more than an entertaining lie with a decent script, and amazing acting from Shin Hyesun. Lee Jun Hyuk was also good, but sadly his character didn't offer much. His only role was to be the detective who was deceived.
Lastly, I have to mention the name of Sarah's brand, because I liked the reason why it was called "Boudoir", probably. It basically means private restroom for women, but it also refers to self-confidence. As a nobody, Sarah never had a chance to enter such a room and she didn't have confidence at all. Her brand represent both even if she's part of it or not, the legacy will continue, and that was her plan all along.
So, overall this was an entertaining thriller with a meaningful story, but if you only want to know "Who Sarah Kim is?" you're going to be disappointed, because that's not the point here.

A real-life translation.
What do I mean by that? You can't interpret everything perfectly. Some things might get lost in translation, literally. You have to pay attention to understand everything!"Can This Love Be Translated?" is a perfect title for the show, because love or any personal connections can't be translated perfectly. Just like Yeong Hwan said, everyone uses their own language, and you have to listen carefully to understand them.
This drama is not your typical romcom with cute romance, perfect characters, a prince, and his princess. It's not a hardcore real-life story about real people either, but it tells an important story about personal struggles, mental health issues, and other relevant topics. There are many shows with similar subjects, but I can't name another one that showcased childhood trauma like this. I wouldn't say they did an amazing job with it, because the Hong sisters didn't delve into Mu Hui's past that much. To be honest, that's my biggest issue with the drama. I think with 2 more episodes, they could've done more with this.
So, we should ask one simple question. Do we need to see Mu Hui getting real medical treatment for her problems? Do we need to delve deeper into her past? Not really, because technically, the only thing she needs is someone who loves her and supports her. She never had that until Mr. Papago (Ho Jin) showed up. So I think the writers did a good job overall.
I know many romcom fans won't like the darker tone of the second half of the season, and it's a slow-burn romance, not cutesy, and it's more mature than other shows. If you can accept this, I think you're gonna love it, because it's well-written. The acting, the cinematography, and the OST are amazing as well. There are multiple characters you can like, even tho all of them can be irritating sometimes, just like real people. I have to give props to the writers because the character developments for pretty much everyone were handled well.
Some might say it's not a fast-paced series, but I think the pacing was perfect. It was kind of like the main story. Traveling around the world. You just want to see everything, walk peacefully, and do anything you want.
I was afraid of the potential love triangles because that's a usual cliche in romcoms, and most of the time it's annoying, but they handled this well too. I was surprised by the behavior of the characters, because they didn't ignore the problems.
Seeing Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung's duo on screen with all the bickering, having fun, and doing crazy things was a joy to watch. They really are one of the best actors of their generation. Acting is not just about saying words, and these two are the prime examples of that. Their face-acting is out of this world.
The most important characters were complex enough. As I said above, it's well-written, and I feel like, if you watch this more than once, you can find more details because a lot of times they didn't spell out everything for the viewers.
Overall, this is a good drama, a lot of fun, two amazing lead actors with great chemistry, meaningful story, not really a typical romcom, so it can stand out a bit more than the rest, but not perfect, and I don’t think it has to be. It provides everything a show like this needs to, and thankfully, they didn’t mess up the finale either.
It does what it should without throwing too much unnecessary stuff in it.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Nothing is more dangerous than the delulu fangirls!
First of all, let's be clear! Not liking something is fine, but hate it for the SAME reason why you LOVED another show, is just DUMB as hell! You can read my review about Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, and you'll know what I mean. All I can say, is that BOTH show is pretty much the same! Likable female leads, and basically every (mostly female) character is acting like a 5 year old. The ONLY thing that is better in Strong Girl Nam-Soon is the VFX! The story (in both) is the most basic thing you can see in your life. Predictable and sometimes too much and over the top. Especially in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. As much as I LOVE Park Bo Young, and Bong Soon with Min Hyuk, their romance was like it was written by a 12 year old girl. If I'm being honest, Nam Soon and Hee Shik's relationship was more mature. Not to mention, he wasn't a typical pretty boy, either. I'm honestly fed up with the same love stories where the girl is in love with a guy who's a GQ model. It's not realistic at all and boring. That being said, one of the best thing in SGNS was the 3rd episode with Bong Soon and Min Hyuk.
The reason I liked both show is that the main actors were great, and they carried the whole show. I could tear the story apart into pieces if I want to, because it was so dumb (again, in both show) I can't even describe it. But when the creators know that it's "bad" for a reason, it makes it better. Both show is like a parody. What makes SGNS story better is that the main villain is actually acting like a villain, and you can take him seriously. While in SWDBS he was a JOKE! Also, in Nam-Soon there wasn't too much filler either.
There's nothing much to say about this show, really, because it's fun if you're not thinking about the story at all, a typical guilty pleasure.
I don't want to offend anyone, but I read some review and comments, and most of them were said, it's so sad that they killed off Shi Oh, and he should've been with Nam Soon. Most of you only hate this show because you can't put aside your fangirl brain. The guy literally murdered hundreds of people, but you want him to be with Nam Soon, because you think he's a pretty boy? And people like those saying this a crap show.
So, in short, Strong Girl Nam-Soon, like its predecessor, it's a dumb show, but still fun if you won't take it seriously.
Lastly, I honestly think the creators should make a team-up in season 3 with Bong Soon and Nam-Soon, I didn't like that they made some random guy strong too.

Nice and tidy with minor flaws.
It was a nice watch. Song Hyekyo is just... you know WOW, and she had great chemistry with Bogum. The story is predictable but still well-written. There are multiple cliches but honestly, they surprised me with the ending, because after EP15 I thought we're gonna get the same old huge time skip where everything is fine and happy but that didn't happen. They even hinted at a potential 5 year skip with the flower. So the whole drama wasn't as irritating because of that.I'm not sure about FL's mom arc tho. I'm not a fan of these types of things especially if the character is really toxic. I don't think she deserves a redemption arc. FL lead ex-husband wasn't as bad even if he was obsessed, at the end of the day he had good intentions and thankfully the writer didn't do the same boring story-line with him.
I can understand ML's mother 100%, but I'm also not a fan of these types of breakups. Most of the time it's just a waste of time, because everyone knows the ending.
The side characters were likable and fun, especially the Myung Shik and Sun Joo, also Daechan and Mijin duo. I liked their romance as well, it was a lot of fun with the bickering.
I was afraid of the typical love triangle, but they handled it well.
So, overall this was great. Nothing special or groundbreaking, but it doesn't have to be.

A story without ending?
Well, sort of.This is obviously about real people and real-life problems, so you won't see any fantasy or typical romcom chlishes. The acting and the cinematography were great. The story was well-written overall.
My problem with the drama is that they didn't finish it properly. I'm talking about the typical happy ending of romcoms, but I wanted to see some resolution about the oldest sister's life. The main couple and the youngest sister were handled okay, but I wanted to see that piece of trash guy suffer more. I felt they missed out on that one because she wasn't the main lead. Honestly, if a writer wants to include stories like that in their drama, they should do something with it.
I know I'm not Korean, but it was irritating to watch that people would rather force their children or themselves to be with someone because others might say bad things about them. I really hate watching dramas where single parents are treated like the plague. It's not really a problem with the story I just hate this way of thinking, and I know in Korea many people still live like this.
The male characters (except Jiho and his friends) were... I don't even know what to say. I get that Jeongin's ex is crazy and obsessed, and Seoin's husband deserves the worst, but how their father can be like that is crazy to me. I'm kind of glad we never saw him meet with Jiho.
The OST overall was good, but it was repetitive, and sometimes I had to skip the scenes because nothing happened they just used the same music over and over again.
Jimin and Haein were great together, but the writer focused too much on the drama, we could've had a bit more feelgood vibe show. To be fair, that wasn't the point of the show.
Overall it's a good show, but not perfect, and it's not for everyone for sure, because it's slow-paced and too realistic.

3 more to be perfect?
I think if we get 3 more episode, this could've been perfect.Pretty much everything was top-notch from the soundtrack (OST and Score), the acting, directing, and almost the writing as well.
Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but I felt they spent too much time on unimportant things and less on the main story. I rather watch the two mean characters daily lives than some weird ninja maid plot, and that wasn't even the worst part, because I don't know where that nonsense with Deok Ro came from. Why did he do that with those girls? Honestly, It was out of nowhere, we didn't get any explanation and I didn't like that the villains didn't get any punishment. It wasn't realistic.
My other problem is that they rushed the story of Yi San and Deok Im. At least 10 episodes worth of story was merged into the last 3. That's why I think with 3 more episodes, plus excluding that nonsense story line above, The Red Sleeve could've been perfect.
The story itself wasn't surprising or anything like that, because it's a pretty accurate historical drama, but it was still well-written, and I don't think I felt one time it was cringe. Even tho, I think Deok Im's stubbornness was a bit too much.
The ending was a nice touch, and they said everything out loud (I mean, the writers made it obvious what's happening), I knew what's going on the minute I've seen the first second of the ending scene. Especially the scene at the door.
Another show that deserves to be in my fave list!
