One thing is missing: Better writers!
This show started out so good, the main plot was interesting, and the cast is amazing. So, what's wrong with this Kdrama?I think, it was too big for the writers to handle.
This series is like a fast car with a bad driver. You have everything from the start, but you don't know what to do with it. So many plot holes, and honestly, without the cast, I'm not sure if I would finish it. The whole Big Mouth plot started out well, but the minute Changho take on the role, it was madness. The guy was basically the worst lawyer ever, he couldn't handle his own life without his wife Miho, yet after he was almost killed in prison, he became this smart leader who can outdo anyone. The biggest plot armor ever!
Not only that, I could accept this, because why not? But so many frustrating things happened. For example, no one gets punished, even tho Changho proved on a freakin' LIVE SHOW that they're guilty, they killed many people, that one guy killed his own ex-wife as well, yet no one mentioned it since.
The WORST part of the show is probably what they did with Miho. She was basically the only smart character, a NURSE, yet she's just casually walk in a mine or whatever was that, where she can see people in hazmat suit, and the whole thing was collapsed, yet she still wants to go there, because she thinks she's invincible.
I loved her character, BUT I didn't feel a single thing when she died. Why? Because the writers did a shit job! The problem isn't the fact that she dies, the problem is how she died. I mean, if you want to kill her, just kill her, but don't make her look like a smart woman who's making the biggest mistake that a nurse can make!
The last 2 episode was just nonsense! What the hell was that finale? How on Earth Changho managed to poison the water, and why Doha died so fast? The same goes for Miho, btw, because every other patient who died, they lived for months, yet she died after a couple of days.
Even tho I liked the show, I just can't stand lazy writing. They wasted so much time on meaningless things, but ignored important parts of the story, and they finished off the whole thing in 5 minute, basically.
This show could've been the next a Flower of Evil, but the only one who deserve a flower is the cast, and everyone who finished the whole show.

The writing isn't like a "slump" for sure!
I've seen many people saying, this show boring, the writing isn't that good or the main characters are childish. Also, the depression part wasn't handled well, not to mention the mystery plot. The ONLY thing that's actually true, is the mystery plot. It wasn't that bad, it was just basic. Other than that, my only problem with the drama is that they didn't do anything with Jeong Woo's parents. I'm actually surprised that there weren't any story about them being hating his relationship with Haneul. Thank God, it wasn't included, but honestly, I think they should've focused more on the bad parents plot.
Also, his PTSD was resolved pretty fast. I don't think anyone can recover from a PTSD that fast, not to mention, a doctor with PTSD wouldn't even be allowed to work. The same goes for Haneul with her depression. But I do think her story was well-written. Depression is not something that happens to everyone in the same way. Every patient have different symptoms.
Of course, this show isn't as good as the "Daily Dose of Sunshine" for example, but overall, this part of the plot was good.
About their romance: Yes, sometimes it was childish and cringe, like 90% of Kdrama romance, so this argument is completely ridiculous, especially, because we have two character who didn't really have a real childhood or a relationship. So, even tho it was cringe at times, it was funny, cute and both of them are lovable characters.
One thing I would say is that Hyung Sik's portrayal is basically the same as in "Strong Woman Bong-soon".
The family story was good, but nothing special. The side characters, especially Dae Young and Hong Ran were funny and entertaining. They felt more realistic, to be honest, but it was cringe at times as well.
The whole show was cringe sometimes, but I never felt I should skip a scene, so that's a positive.
The mystery plot was decent, nothing ordinary, maybe it was a bit much at times, but it wasn't irritating at all.
Overall, this is a really good show, with a meaningful message about life, so it's definitely worth watching it. I know many people love "Queen of Tears" more, but I have to say, the writing on this drama was much better.

It's a decent Kdrama!
Not sure what should I say, honestly, because the show isn't bad, the basic plot is nothing special, if you watched a fantasy Kdrama, you probably see them all. The real problem is the villain, as usual. The romance was okay, the actors are fantastic, even the side-characters, but with many Kdrama, in the last couple of episodes it was a downhill. There were so many weird decisions made by the characters, especially from Jiah, and that the biggest problem, because they made her like if she's the smartest person alive. Not to mention the story with her parents. They literally didn't do anything with it.
You can find a LOT of good things in this show, especially if you don't care about the logic, but honestly, the ending was rushed as usual, and they solved the problems too easy, and we didn't see the aftermath.
I mean, a LOT of people died, but they only mentioned it like once. Jiah finally found her parents, but we didn't see them leaving the house, just once. It felt like a dream where nobody cares about them anymore.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the show ends with a sad ending, because he sacrificed himself for her, yet, 6 months later his brother did the same so both of them could come back. This was such a lazy writing.
Not to mention THE ENDING! What the hell was that? He said he came back as a normal human, yet he had his powers again, so he lied?
I know there's a 2nd season, but I'm not sure if I should watch it.
Anyway, the characters are likable, the two main lead is great, and overall, it's a decent show, but I expected a bit more, to be honest.

Not bad but not good.
Honestly, I expected a bit more. Sadly, this was just average. I don't think the characters, especially Misoo was good. She was like a walking red flag. Adults acting like dumbass teens. They hardly did anything with his wife, who died. The story was all over the place. The casting is amazing, but sadly the story wasn't at the same level.

When you have everything from the start, and you still manage to mess it up!
You have a great cast, a good story, you're writing a fantastic first half, and you go on a holiday, basically.
It doesn't matter how much potential a story has, if the writer can't do anything with it. The comedy elements really elevated the whole show. Some drama scene were great, but I don't like how they didn't do anything with the story of their kid who died, they only mentioned it like 2 times. That alone and the cancer plot would've been enough to build up the drama between Hyun Woo and Hae In. I don't like when shows including the cancer story line, and they don't do much with it, just fixing it with a miracle cure, and of course they have to use the amnesia. I can forgive all the cliché, but I can't forgive a boring villain. Eun Seong and his mommy are probably the most boring villains I've seen. At first, it was okay, than they do all those storylines with them as kids. Like why? Is this a KGB story or what? With Da Hye, they're planning to ruin a family, because they want money? I don't think we get any real motive why they want to take a revenge on this family. I don't remember any explanation.
Not to mention, only their mothers mentioned that he saved Hae In when they were kids. I was waiting for them to mention that to them, but no, they didn't do it.
It's absolutely ridiculous that Hyun was pictured as a perfect guy, basically. Sure, at first he wanted to divorce, and he was like: "My wife will die, super, I don't have to suffer for more than 3 months." What the actual hell was that? I mean, they obviously loved each other, yet he's acting like he won the lottery. That part made the whole character worse than the villain. At least, he wanted to save her, even if he's a psychopath. Later they fall in love again, of course, that's not surprising. It doesn't matter how good the chemistry between Soo Hyun and Ji Won, they worked hard, but most of the time the writing was a mess! He's basically the Korean John Wick, this guy can do everything and can survive anything. Nonsense!
The whole love triangle is one of the dumbest thing I've seen. In some cases, the show actually fooled me, and that's a plus, but this story line was only there to see our main guy jealous.
The biggest problem with the show is that the writer solved everything in the most basic way.
The amnesia storyline was lazy, if they use it as a clean slate, and not to mess with her family and be with the other guy, it could've been much better. They stretched the story for too long with too much filler scenes, and they finished 3 different story lines in 2 episodes, basically.
Even tho, there's a lot of problem with the show, it's still enjoyable and fun, thanks to the actors, mostly!
It's sad, because without all the fake drama and fillers, this could've been another perfect show.
The story should've been about them finding each other again after the surgery, fighting with the villains without any unnecessary drama, and that's all.
And what was the melodramatic finale with some random white dude? Don't tell me that was the old version of Hyun Woo, because the actor is obviously a white guy.
Another overrated, but overall, a good Kdrama with a massive missed opportunity.

If there's a typical SOAP OPERA style Kdrama, this is one of them.
This show is way too long for no reason, and the finale was irritating as hell. I hate when they're doing another totally unnecessary drama in the finale. The basic of the story was great, it had its potential, and even tho the acting was great, the writer should be ashamed of herself, honestly. Laziest writing every, probably. If this wouldn't be a show with Sejeong, I would've stopped watching it after episode 10 or so. Or even sooner.I won't even bother to write more about it because it's frustrating and if the writer were lazy, why should I do more than her? All I can say: If you love Kim Sejeong, watch the show, she's great, but if you're not a fan of her, just skip it.

One of the most underrated shows on MDL!
No, I'm not exaggerating! I don't get why this show is disliked by so many people. It was an amazing feelgood, fun, slice of life drama about REAL PEOPLE with REAL STRUGGLES! Honestly, ONE OF THE BEST WRITTEN KDRAMA I'VE SEEN! Most people said, it's boring, nothing special and didn't had any romance at all. Why do you want to watch a show only for romance? Just because the main focus wasn't about romance, doesn't mean the drama is bad! The characters were fantastic and REAL! I know how it feels to pursue your dreams and most of the time fail. I wanted to be an athlete and later an artist. I still want to! Neither worked out so far, so I can understand the struggle. The show portrays PERFECTLY how it feels to lose your dream or just feel lost, alone. Also, it showed us why this industry is hard and most of the time companies only care about money. If you're an artist, or you had or have a dream, you're going to love this show, because it showed every aspect of the struggle that a person have when you try to achieve your goals. Not to mention, that this drama is another one that portrays perfectly how toxic people can be, and they just want a new episode, but they don't even care about the artists. If they don't like something that they see, they will spread hate against them, and they don't care if they hurt them. They don't care how much work and time they put in their work, they think being toxic equals with fair criticism! Also, if some random person post lies about an artist online, people instantly believe it and they want to cancel them. That was so real, and I was so angry, because people are like that! So here's a quote from the Spider-Man movie that pretty much sums up this show and the so-called "fans"! They're hypocrites!
"THE ONE THING THEY LOVE MORE THAN A HERO IS TO SEE A HERO FAIL, FALL, DIE TRYING. IN SPITE OF EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR THEM, EVENTUALLY, THEY WILL HATE YOU."
Kim Sejeong were absolutely perfect in this role!!! Even tho Ma Eum was strong in the outside she wasn't flawless, she was a real human. If you only like perfect people who never make mistakes, don't waste your time on this show. This show is for those who want to see a story about real people with real struggles, and Ma Eum was just one of them. Basically, every character on this show had their own problems that they had to deal with.
I saw someone said, Ma Eum didn't really care about Dae Ryuk. Well, all I can say is that you watched the show with the blindfold on. Ma Eum literally cared about everything and everyone! Especially her artists, and Dae Ryuk! He's story was unique and the way they wrote it was surprising even. I honestly didn't think it's going to be like that. His relationship with Ma Eum was PHENOMENAL! Everyone need a friend like her! I didn't read his Webtoon, we only see a glimpse of it and still, when we saw how his latest chapter ended, I was like Ma Eum! It felt like I was with him in his journey. There's not a lot of show that made me feel the same way.
My only problem with the show is that sometimes it felt like there's a love triangle, but they didn't do much with that. So it was weird.
I could mention like 5 other side-story, because the backstory of some side characters were amazing, but I don't want to write a whole book about it and spoil it for those who didn't see the show yet.
PS: This show screams for season 2 or even more, because this is the story that you can continue for a long time, and it's still feel fresh!

Cliché, BUT good!
'A Business Proposal' is THE prime example of how you should write a cliché story! I mean, this show didn't change the genre or the world, BUT the fact that every episode contained more cliché than other shows in 16 episode overall and still remained good, says a LOT about the writers! Only for this, it's worth a 6/10 rating. I didn't mention the fantastic acting, OST and the direction! The use of editing and VFX is one of the best I've seen so far! I don't want to speak too much about the story because it's a typical love story, and let's be honest, it's not good because of the story, it's good because of the way they made it. People who didn't watch it yet, will love it more if they will know most important thing about this show: It's basically a parody of the romcom genre! My only complaint, as usual, is that the finale was a complete MESS! Never going to understand why they want to finish the story in almost every KDrama in the finale, when they obviously don't have enough time for that. Also, I'm not familiar with the Manhwa, but I know that the show didn't cover half of the story. That's why I'm still hoping that they will do a 2nd season someday, but they probably won't, because if they would want to, we would've heard about that now.

Cringe as hell!
I only watched this because I love Moon Chae Won. Honestly, people tend to give a better score than they should because they love the actors or something on the show is cute. This show has an average story, the writing is bad, the acting was average at best, thanks to the director, and I don't think I liked any of these characters. I don't give a damn about who's going to end up with whom. If your main focus is that, you don't care about the story, that simple. I only care about the story, and the main story started at episode 14 or so. This should've been a 2-hour-long movie! Every other episode was pointless to be honest. The story had a good potential, but they only did something with it in the final two episodes. The whole show was cringe as hell. Also, I know this is just a drama, and they didn't have a big budget, but if you don't have enough money, why are you even using these crappy looking CGI cats, dragons, tigers? They used CGI even when it wasn't necessary. I love comedy and all but 90% of the time it wasn't funny at all, just cringe. I literally skipped every scene with Ok Nam's 3 friend, because they were so bad and irritating. Not to mention the lab guys and that idiot Lee Ham Sook. Anyone who says this show should have a better rating, should be banned from this site, because they're the reason that 90% of the shows on MDL are overrated! Seriously, why are you guys giving higher score for shows just because you love the actors, or you think something or someone is cute? One of the worst drama I watched so far.

Only average!
It started pretty well, but overall it's just average. I think 78 episodes is way too much. The acting is good, but the writing could've been better. There's like 3 or 4 characters who's actually good, but basically everyone makes dumb decisions. I think 40 episodes would've been enough. Also, the fight scenes, especially in the war scenes, are hard to watch because there are too many cuts. Most of the time it doesn't feel like a war, I didn't felt anything except when a main character did something. Overall, it's not a bad drama but without Chae Shi Ra, I don't think I would finish it. She's literally carrying the whole show. The music and the score aren't the best also. There were a couple of great score, but that's all, honestly. Was this review helpful to you?
Don't judge Hell by its cover!
Without spoilers, all I can say is that this show deserve the hype, BUT it's not perfect! The first half of the season was a HELLA FUN! Park Shin Hye as Bit Na carried the whole show, and that's not even surprising. Honestly, at first I thought we're gonna get some weekly cases, but that doesn't really happen. The overall story was good, but predictable, especially if this isn't your first fantasy Kdrama. I had some problems with the writing, because even tho I don't like when they say everything out loud, the case of real Bit Na and what happened to her would be nice to know without doing research online.
The biggest issue with the show is probably the fact that it lacks consistency. The problem with fantasy shows in general is that the writers creating a world and rules that they can't follow later on, because if they would, they need to kill the main characters. I don't want to talk about the mythological part of the show, because it wouldn't make any sense, but the plot armor helped the main characters a lot, because there's no way in hell (no pun intended) Bit Na is stronger than her leaders.
Also, even tho the main leads were cute and all, I think they were better as a bickering frenemies than lovers! I think the romance is kind of took out the fun from the show, but it's not a big deal. I just didn't felt they had a great chemistry as a couple.
The main story with the serial killer and the families were amazing, where the show really shines is the drama, the comedy, and the action.
For me, the best "couple" of the show is easily BitNa, aka "Soon To Be Dead" and the "Old Hag"! That part is still making me laugh!!!😂 Park Shin Hye and Kim Young Ok were absolutely amazing together!
The OST and a Score is also great, especially the latter, and props to the director and cinematographer, and of course the VFX team! This isn't really a big budget Kdrama, yet it still looked great!
I'm not sure if we're gonna get a 2nd season, but if we will, I'm gonna watch it for sure, because this was entertaining!
If you can look past on the flaws and just enjoy what you get, you won't be disappointed!

This is a good show overall!
I watched this after a really long time, because I tend to ignore shows that are more hyped! The concept is fantastic, nothing original, but good. The whole romance story was weird as hell in the first half. I mean, the girl is 18 and the Goblin is 900+ but even if we don't care about that because this is a fantasy, his real age is around 30+ or something. The chemistry between Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun in the first was more like a dad and daughter, and when the romance started for real it was even more weird, because she always called him "Ahjussi". After the 9 years time skip, it was much, it was like two adults. I feel they should've start with Eun Tak as an adult already.
Also, like with many other Kdrama, especially with fantasy, the plot was all over the place. I hate when characters don't speak up and say what they want to say.
Some of the problems they had to face were solved pretty easily. When he finally dies, I thought he might get a second chance to live a normal life, but no. He came back as a Goblin again. Why? Makes zero sense. If they bring him back as a Goblin, at least let them live together till she dies in old age.
She spent 9 years "waiting" for him, she even wrote a note for herself, yet in all these years she never mentioned it or moved on? Come on now. Only 2 people remembered him, so she should've moved on. Especially, because Sunny never said a single thing. She watched her friend suffering, even had to take pills for her heart, yet she didn't do anything. This whole amnesia plot was messed up. The way they brought him back is even worse! In 9 years, she never blew out a candle? Who believes that? It's not like she lived alone. No one ever bought her a cake in 9 years?
The most frustrating part of the story is probably the fact that they killed her in the finale, so they can have like a 2 minute long scene at the end as a child again. What the heck?
At least the story with Sunny and the Reaper was better.
The bromance was funny as hell, and there were so many good things on the show, it's just frustrating, because with a little more focus on the writing, this show could've been perfect.
Even with all the problems, I think I will rewatch it once or twice.

The Camellia that could've been an easy 10!
It deserves the 8/10, BUT the crime story was dragged and wasn't really well-written, it was all over the place. I also really disliked every scene with Gyu Tae and the ex with his wife, it's sad because I love both Oh Jung Se and Yeom Hye Ran. The best character development of the show is 100% Hyang Mi. Son Dam Bi was so good in this role. At first she made me dislike her character, then it was a complete 180.The 2 main leads were cute and fun together, I didn't feel it was cringe for a minute, even tho sometimes it was a childish romance, and the rest of the cast is likable as well, but this drama could've been a 10/10 without this serial killer or at least a better-written crime story. The whole family drama and love story could've carried the show alone, to be honest.
Im Sang Choon really shines as a writer when she writes character dramas, not crime stories.
The OST and directing were also great!
This is a must-watch if you can ignore the dragged-out crime story, because it's a heartwarming love story about family and romantic love as well.

"I'll wait for you." should be the real title of the drama!
My overall thoughts about the 21 episodes:It's a fantastic drama with amazing acting, directing, and a meaningful story, BUT it's not perfect. There are a LOT of irritating parts and inconsistent writing as well.
There are multiple characters you can hate, honestly, you can't find good and bad people in this, just people, and that makes this show great, but it's gonna infuriate you, because the characters making stupid decisions, just like real people. I felt it was a bit dragged, some parts were overdramatic for no reason, and didn't make much sense story wise, but overall, this is a MUST-WATCH!
Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin carried this drama with ease. They were incredible together.
I don't want to go into details, because that wouldn't be spoiler-free, and honestly, you need to experience this show by yourself.

She's my Venus!
The first half was really good and a lot of fun, the 2nd was decent, I'm glad they didn't do anything ridiculous in the finale, but the time jump after the accident was irritating as hell. ML was really selfish. He's lucky FL is so understanding. And let's not even talk about the 2nd lead couple, 'cause what the hell? Don't know why everyone treated them like it's nothing special when it's clearly not a couple that people should support so to speak. I'm not talking about the viewers. They could've done more with the show if they exclude the accident, that had no reason to be in the show at all. Choi Hyeran's story is just another level of madness. It was written so poorly.
I think the show had a lot more potential!
Anyway, overall, it was a good show, it's now in my fave list, Jisub and Mina were great together, also the boys and the Korean Alfred.😅
