didn't know i'd be so obsessed w this drama. ep 3 was... a rollercoaster. hope we get more backstory/plot in ep 5 and 6 because a lot of things are left unexplained. riu and jisung are amazing actors, and really, i think it's the 5 year friendship that pays it off. amazing chemistry and they know how to deliver emotions through their eyes and actions lol. and we can see jeonghan slowly getting softer. WHEN HE CALLED ILJO PRETTY OHMYGOD.
about the whole 'cousin' plot... sigh, let me explain now before everyone's whining in the comment section.
the family believes il jo is the uncle’s illegitimate child, not knowing he’s actually an orphan. jeongin (the one who beat iljo up) and the rest of the family treat him badly based on their assumptions. the truth only comes out around chapter 60 of 72 in the manhwa, but even then, their attitude toward him doesn’t change.
il jo’s mother abandoned him at a church, and he ended up in an orphanage until the uncle took him in at around six years old. the uncle couldn’t formally adopt him because his spouse didn’t agree, and later he lived alone in the countryside with il jo. it seems the uncle’s marriage fell apart, and jeongin blames il jo for it.
(thank you user @Arthenha for this short summary)
however, it's up to you to decide whether it's "incest" or not, since they committed the act while jeonghan thought they were cousins. the repeated mention of them being cousins in the manhwa and the series threw me off a bit, as i thought they'd drop the topic altogether.
ouhh toxic kbl is so, so back. absolutely love riu and jisung's acting skills. had problems with the cousin trope in the beginning, but ykw, they're not blood-related so why does it even matter? (apart from the fact that jeonghan thought that they were cousins at first so that would make it incest in their pov haha.. ha.. *awkward silence*) anyway!
Wow, this looks very promising. Great acting, beautiful cinematography, and I love the background music. I could really feel Kano’s frustration, loneliness, and anxiety when the scenes primarily use dark-toned colours (great colour grading), have dull, empty hallways in them, and show his habit of eating sweets to ease the physical burden he’s carrying (responsibilities, arguments with co-workers, transitioning to another position).
This is what you get from me when you cast great actors together in a series, lol.
So, after clicking on the title it says: "title is not available in your current region OR it has not been released yet". I think the problem for both of us is the latter (: To confirm this, I have a link for you.
"Operating globally worldwide, it is popular in the United States, Thailand, and India." Maybe try looking for the series on the "coming soon" page on Gaga.
