Actors kinda saved the plot tbh

The story begins with Zi Xiang. At first glance, he seems egocentric, but later he becomes the sweetest, most caring man in Shaopeng’s world. Zi Xiang's father wants him to take over the business (Zi Xiang becomes a nepo baby), too selfish to consider his son’s feelings. Zi Xiang is not interested in taking over the family business and wants to go his own way to follow his passion, but he also doesn’t want to disappoint his father.

Then we have Shaopeng, a young deaf and mute man who is desperately searching for work but is repeatedly rejected because he is not like others. What a beautiful character Shaopeng is, strong and determined, yet it's completely okay to express one's weaknesses as well. His parents had arranged lessons for him when he was younger to communicate better, and they tried to get him to speak. This led him to believe that he had to be a normal boy, without a disability and that he couldn't express his feelings because he didn't want to worry his parents. Shaopeng doesn't want anyone to look after him because he doesn't want to be a burden on anyone.

The two boys come together as their feelings and experiences intertwine beautifully. Shaopeng cares for Zi Xiang, and Zi Xiang cares for Shaopeng, each in their own way, but with good communication. I thought it was really cute that Zi Xiang learned sign language specifically for Shaopeng. You do everything for love, right?

The second couple, Feng Jie and Xin Jia, was fun but less engaging. Who lets their kidnapper into their home for a small scratch on the nose? Hilarious! He should have appreciated the chance to stay in the house more because I was really surprised when he said he wanted to stay longer without even asking Zi Xiang. I also wasn't a fan of sex under the influence of alcohol. They were cute together, though; I had hoped to see more of them.

The female couple felt a bit forced since their storyline was spread over just two episodes and didn't come across as believable because it seems unlikely that everyone is in same-sex relationships. Their story would have worked much better with more time.
The whole drama with the cousin could have been sorted out way more easily if they had just talked it out instead of trying to steal the family business and trying to hurt Zi Xiang. In the end, the cousin wanted to see who Zi Xiang cared about... and he did this with a poorly executed mafia scenario. But the cousin would get the business anyway because Zi Xiang stayed in Taiwan, so what’s the deal?

Wow points: The actors delivered a great performance! I was amazed when (almost) everyone could do sign. Once again, the portrayal of sign language felt so realistic to me, WOW. I want to say everything at once, but I can’t put my words into one sentence, so I’ll keep it to myself for now.

Overall, I give it an 8. I found myself giggling in bed at times lol.
