I really wanted to like this but the romance between FL and ML already seems like such a 'done and dusted a million times' type of deal.

Like really:
- FL with dead/missing relatives
- rich & handsome ML
- contract marriage
- ML is apparently already in love with FL, (it better not be some childhood crush nonsense)

which could still be somewhat ok, if not for the:

- super typical interactions between the two

If you told me they had just copied the writing from some other generic romance drama, I'd believe you.

I'm tired of it.

I like the revenge plot and turning back time.

Also, the FL really doesn't particularly seem like such a badass (like I think she's intended to be), I cringed during the wedding dress/flower bouquet scene, is that really the best they could come up with?

how does the FL take revenge against her bully? - There are multiple bullies. She pretty much gets them to turn against each other and they mostly end up ruining each other. She doesn't have to get her hands super dirty.

Does she succeed? - Yes

What happens to the bully in the end? - death, prison, incurable disability, ruined relationships, ruined reputation.

What happens to the FL? - She finds love and starts plotting a new revenge for his sake.

The father was the colorblind guy. He rushed to consult a lawyer about it when he found out she had been pregnant when she died. I think it was implied he was sexually assaulting her.

I've seen it, it's a great drama, good rec -- but not quite what I meant. I'm not looking for a gender bender/hidden identity themed drama but like ... a drama with a similar vibe to Coffee Prince. I really don't know how to explain it. Thank you anyway! :)

Well, yes. I did not say the genre/focus of the story should have been different. Why add it at all if it makes the drama worse. Sorry to hear I upset you with my opinion, hope you feel better soon.

It felt unnecessary because it was so poorly executed. I'm sorry but her chemistry was way better with the other guy in S1. They could just have been friends, imho.

I don't think the group hated DE because she was poor (though they did look down on her for it). They just wanted to bully someone and she was an easy victim since she had nobody and no money on her side, unlike them. I guess it's also easier to dehumanize someone who has a different background from you & your friends/family.

I'm not a mental health professional but I'm guessing there are some personality disorders etc that don't make you incapable of loving someone even while you're incapable of feeling any empathy towards your victims. Reminds me of Israel Keyes who didn't want his daughter to know what he did or for her life to be ruined for his actions.

she is, but not to THIS level. I'm going to barf if I have to watch one more scene where she trips on nothing (/and gets caught by someone).

I've been reading this webtoon and I actually really like that the drama doesn't follow the original story 100% accurately, but... I really don't like how over the top EVERY single scene in this drama just has to be for whatever reason. And I know the FL is a bit simple in the webtoon but now they've apparently removed half of her brain cells? WHY??

@DeepZone I'm not talking about the money that the landlord(?) LADY scammed from her.

In a later episode, it was (kinda jokingly) suggested that the business partner MAN might have not have been that good of a person, and that it was possible he was behind Rara suddenly losing all her money (/maybe even her father's business).

I guess it was cleared up in a part that I didn't really pay that much attention to -- I do remember Rara talking to the business partner man but I thought he was still just faking being nice and expected the drama to end by Rara getting her father's business back or something. lol
