like when kuea pretended he was a comp science student it gave me flashbacks to the time my college counselling process was going on and i hadn’t got comp since yet. the best branch offer i got was electrical engineering and my parents were so disappointed they didnt want to tell the rest of our family or my friends. but when i finally got comp science engineering it was the opposite reaction💀

initially i thought by "straightening out" meant restricting kuea from doing what he does since his behaviour is mostly frowned upon by asian families, and that concerned me because i didnt want to see a controlling romance like that. but from ep5, it seems like hia lian has no intention of doing that, so what exactly does his conversation with kuea's mom mean? is it just a guise to get closer to him so he can reveal his true self?
