She was the only one who even knew about it (or so we are led to believe) because only she got the neighbourhood…
I know, but that's why I'm saying it would have been useful to see them learn about his death on screen so they would shrug indifferently and we would know clearly that WJ is the one who's stuck in the past.
Something has been bothering me since E01. So I went back and skimmed through that episode. and yes, it really…
She was the only one who even knew about it (or so we are led to believe) because only she got the neighbourhood group text announcing his death. The other two probably learned he was dead when they were told they had to move out, but that conversation happened off-screen. (I think it would have been a good addition to the first episode, personally, and established the difference between Woojoo and Jigoo/Hyeseong's level of investment in hating their father.)
Afaik, organizing camping fairs for companies to present their products at. Would explain his love for camping…
Not just camping fairs but all kinds of expos. One of the posters in their office is from a book fair. I think the camping expo is simply their latest project, and it happens to be more personally meaningful to Dongjin.
Not at all in my opinion. I thought it would be bad because the topics covered is overdone, but they made it in…
When an ongoing drama has a rating over 8.7 on MDL it's almost always because the lead actors have devoted fanbases that spam high ratings. LJH is a very popular actor and Pyo Yejin is for some reason massively popular on MDL, so 2+2=4.
Divorce Attorney Shin is a less flashy drama for a slightly older audience and while CSW is a highly acclaimed actor, he doesn't have thousands of fangirls or anything like that. So the rating is lower.
MDL ratings are not a reliable measure of quality, certainly not while a drama is still ongoing.
the cliffhangers here are so mean ugh šš i'm glad that dong jin will find out about woo joo and the house…
lol I think you're getting excited prematurely! I bet the cliffhanger is misleading and they're going to miss each other at the realtor's office. I also hope they won't drag out the reveal until it's too late, but I think it will come between episodes 10-12 most likely.
So Iām on the fence with this one. I really really want to like it but dang it, Ex girlfriends who come crawling…
I'm hoping the drama will lean into Dongjin processing the hurt she caused him and learning to open up to people again (since she's clearly still a weight around his neck and a major reason he's so damn depressed) and Minyoung coming to terms with the fact she did something wrong and can't go back in time and fix it but has to move on. Instead of, like, her making him waver and think they could maybe be together again, which would be infuriating.
My only question is how is dad not arrested for showing what is essentially porn to his 8 year old?????
Exactly! Who his mother has sex with has nothing to do with the child or her ability to care for him and telling him she's a slut and a whore and forcing him, a literal small child, to watch her, his literal mother, have sex with a stranger is child abuse! What's more, the video he saw was taken without her consent. I kinda wanted Attorney Shin to bring this up with Hyeon-woo when they spoke and explain that his mother was also a victim in the video he saw, but I understand why Attorney Shin didn't say anything; Hyeon-woo is still too young to understand the situation fully and shouldn't be forced to think about it any further when it's clearly massively upsetting for him. Which his stupid abusive deadbeat father refused to consider. God, what a piece of trash. He should not be considered for full custody ever again no matter what trick he tries to pull in the future after traumatising his child like that.
Attorney Shin, on the other hand, was so gentle with HW. If there's a romance between him and Lee Seojin in the future, I hope to see more scenes of him bonding with her kid because he would be a much more positive male influence in HW's life.
is it just me or is something missing in this drama? idk when i was watching my mister i felt it was so meticulously…
lol
I love the script and the characters and Iām obsessed with the leadsā relationship. I didnāt feel the same way at all when watching My Mister.
Different people have different tastes in dramas. It doesnāt mean āsomething is missingā or that the stuff that doesnāt work for you is a weakness. If you donāt like the drama, donāt watch, but itās obvious a lot of people do.
OK, I'm not usually one to whinge about MDL scores because I realise they're fake and don't matter, but 8.2, seriously? Compared to what your average nonsense cdrama about reincarnated demon fox spirit fairies gets?
I don't like the pink lighting ppl have been talking about on tiktok either XD. But other than that I think this…
His mother genuinely didn't recognise her, I think. It fits with her characterisation as someone very self-centred and unconcerned about the pain she causes other people. She ruined the lives of WJ and her mother and siblingsāwell, WJ's father did that, but she was a very willing accessoryābut she didn't even remember WJ's face after seeing her at her husband's funeral. A month or two later she already has a new boyfriend and seems to have forgotten her husband as well.
He was stalking her and obsessing over her new job because a. she used to work at his pharmacy and one day she quit without explaining why or telling anyone where she would work next, which is naturally sus when she's that close with her siblings and best friend, and more importantly b. he knows her well enough to sense she's plotting something reckless and is worried she'll create a major mess like the time she jumped out in front of her father's car and got hurt.
This is my first romantic melodrama and I'm really enjoying it! I usually only watch rom coms. Can anyone recommend…
There are many quieter romantic melos (since this is a slice-of-life melo and therefore less dynamic and exaggerated than others in the genre), but some that come to mind immediately are:
One Spring Night A Piece of Your Mind Love Affairs in the Afternoon My Liberation Notes Just Between Lovers Because This Is My First Life The World That They Live In Chocolate
If you're interested in Chinese and Japanese dramas, consider:
Long Vacation Nagareboshi Neechan no Koibito (Japan)
