well i dropped it twice.....first was after watching 4/5 eps thinking there might not be enough chemistry between the leads due to female lead's underdeveloped character(but i was proven wrong in later eps coz even though she was not supposed to fall in love but ovbiously she was treating main lead differently than others--like her pellet cracks only for phoenix lol ).......then after few months there was nothing that i could find without sad ending of this kind of dramas but somehow ended up reading a spoiler that it had happy ending(jinmi+phoenix) .so i picked it up again.................and the second time i dropped is around eps 20 when she is thrown to the mortal world erasing her memory,this time i got so annoyed that i shut my pc down(its very very rare for me after i started to watch drama ).i was like WT*,our little phoenix went through so much and jinmi was going through some changes but now the drama had to make her forget everything!!!!...but may be after 1/2 days picked it up again reading a spoiler that she's going to be matured now(and i was totally surprised at her character development)....and this time it was a marathon with my emotions running wild.and it was so worth it that i forced myself to pick it again. --btw if you ever pick this up again remember to make some adjustments(as i did myself) before watching like
->though theres action but remember the story is not centered on action,so keep your expectation on the right track and neutral so that the drama can make you surprised as it makes you rise and fall lol ->dont expect happy ending for everyone(lol may be i spoiled something unexpectedly) ->run yu is a selfish jerk who doesnt know the differece -between love and obsession,so just ignore him lol ->dont ever ship jin mi and run yu(if you do, its gonna be a disaster for you) ->->heavy sweetness,ash like frost(at the end you will realize the meaning of this title and its really touching) ->and the last:if you are a guy then put yourself as phoenix and think like him "i love jinmi but whether we are together or not it depends on her if she has the same feelings or not" and i love you so much that i could not not-forgive you(well actually wasnt mad at you) ---- AND------ if you are a girl think like jinmi: i only only only love phoenix-as my pellet cracks for him lol (though sometimes it might seem a little cruel of her to act differently but remember that she's the victim of the pellet so it couldnt be helped and it wasnt her true intention either) .........""""OMG!!! my reply ended up being tooooo loooong!!!anyway since i enjoyed writing and am selfish/human i expect you to read it through"" and pick this again but since you are also human(ofcourse u r not selfish lol) ,you can choose not to pick this story of awesome lovebirds.

when i found this drama the first thing i did is lower my expectation so that im not disappointed later......when i watched the 1st episode,i realized i need more patience,ok!..........after watching 3/4 eps i realized it needs some fast-forwarding......then while watching few more episodes i am super annoyed!!........then i stopped watching and the next day im trying to find out why its not attracting me.......and here,the 1st reason is we are not compatible(drama and me) ....and the second reason is "even though the story is centered on RU GE,she(i mean drama character-not dilraba) is not able to lead the story"......its too bland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if hes gonna have a happy ending then it would too unfair for those who went through hell because of him......if you think back then you will realize that those who were scheming none of them escaped unharmed except run yu......such as heavenly emperor,,,empress,,,run yu's mom,,,sui he...........and they all had their own set of reasons and logic for what they did though those are not justified....so its already too much that Kuang Lu loves him unconditionally....personally i think he doesnt even deserve kuang lu coz his love for jin mi is not as pure as Kuang Lu's.

but theres (strong love interest),(one sided love),(engaged but no interest),(mutual interest but not yet confessed).......and somehow all these will be revealed throughout the series without being romantic.
i'm at ep 10, and I find the female lead very annoying... is she getting nicer and less silly?
well.....you should consider the effect of that MOTHER-GIVEN-PELLET.......and ofcourse she will be getting less silly....just dont drop the show midway....theres lot more twists and amazing momments to come.......

aaaaa....,im relieved after reading all these comments and im feeling safe that i dropped this drama.....only regret is that this drama was placed first on my upcoming drama list for a long time till it came out...
yes,theres romance but the plot of the drama is not focused on romance.......and the protagonist is ning que( Arthur Chen) but his love interest is not clear but might be in the upcoming episodes....give it a try, you will find out soon........

not a sad ending for sure......and whether its happy ending or not,it depends on your imagination and expectation.....just dont start it having an expectation of them being all lov-dovey in the end,then you wont be disappointed........and personally the ending of "You Who Came from the Stars" made me more happy and surprised because the way it happened on the red carpet took me to a new level of satisfaction (lol)......
