But this is the fact , 2nd couple was indeed promoted on main couples popularity. In which drama have you seen…
WTF? i am sorry but do you guys not know the definition of rape? she is literally initiating physical contact with him every time... so she can distract him and obtain leverage.... the guy was a lunatic... but he was not a mind reader if she initiated why would he stop her? ...... yall need to chill out with this weird definition of words that u have
I fast forwarded all their scenes after episode 20. I didn't understand the glorification of a r*pist; why show…
when did he r*ape her? she literally threw herself at him to obtain leverage....and they were both drugged when the son was conceived. He was obsessive.. but he didn't r@pe her
Totally agree with you. They were never meant to be considered a couple. Even in the post-credits the writers…
the second couple's storyline was more intriguing than the leads.. chemistry as well...we're not talking about healthy... we're talking about intriguing
I mean i can watch him being cruel with everyone but his kid and xian xian... those scenes are to gagging for…
Qimin didn't r@pe QQ... they were both drugged... neither one consented.. this is why he resented his caretaker... because she drugged him so he could create an heir.. in case he dies... he saw that as betrayal...this is why he hated his son so much.. he saw him as the sole living replacement specifically to the throne and later on to QQ as well.... clearly Qimin's character is unhinged... but beneath the crazy.. he did deeply love QQ... even more than he loved himself... and the Caretaker did vocalize that to him before he killed her...i think they would have made people more empathetic to him.. if they had toned down his resentment and brutality towards his son.. and enabled some type of bond between the two
Initially I was very excited for the show... then started to get bored with the leads.. and basically focused on the second couple. The visuals of everyone are amazing... this is best performance i have seen by far for the lead couple compared to their previous dramas.. and beyond impressed with Deng Kai's performance as well... him and the younger brother hands down did the best acting on the show. I would have preferred for the Marquis to have a little more edge to him... they completely forgot that he is damaged as well from his past, I would have liked some gray character insert on him (they showed a little of it on the episode where he stabbed the guy where the FL was unconscious) and then its like they forgot about that side of him. The drama overall is worth a watch.. i just feel they did the Marquis l wrong for over focusing on the FL and they did Qimin wrong by making him so toxic to his son which basically removed any ability for him to have a redemption arc (eventhough they kind attempted it in the end..but i don't think people bought it)
You're absolutely right! He's supposed to be a great war hero but all we see is the FL greatness. We need more…
they almost did the same thing with love between fairy and the devil... but it wasn't as prominent as it is now. if you recall.. the ML was a savage guy that everyone was scared of.. and then eventually whatever made him a gray character which is basically the constant good vs bad battle within himself.. the unpredictability and the element of surprise when it comes to the dynamics they have with the FL... was completely removed and he basically became another pushy soft character in all aspects that has zero interest in glory or revenge and just wants love.
I get it, its fantasy and yes love changes the bad guy for the better... but it does not completely neuter the characters. if you notice the pattern is with all Dramas in general world wide... they start with the FL being sweet and soft and the ML being cutthroat... and then on the second half of the show the ML turns all soft and mushy.. and suddenly the FL turns into a bitch with a constant attitude that the ML constantly has to pander to for no reason. it makes zero sense... it kills the dynamics that are meant to make the show appealing and completely obliterates the emotional gratification that we're supposed to feel after so many episodes of following and cheering on for the couple .... and not only do u not get the emotional gratification.... u actually get to a point where you think the ML should leave the FL cause they're being insufferable.. it keeps happening.. they keep doing it.... it's annoying Lmao went on a rant there... but that shows... that's i am just annoyed.. cause they keep messing up shows i am excited about.... I am wondering how they're gone mess up Love Beyond the Grave now.
You're absolutely right! He's supposed to be a great war hero but all we see is the FL greatness. We need more…
agreed i am getting the same feeling i got from Fated Hearts... where i have zero incentive or motivation to finish because the story just didn't make sense in my eyes... here they basically made the ML the cheerleader of the FL and she's basically the one kicking ass... making it look as if becoming a high position general is the easiest thing and the ML became easily a general just like FL... because they're not showing what made him a great general they're just saying it..... similarly to Fated hearts.... where basically the ML even though he intimated all of his enemies and they were all scared of his potential in the beginning of the drama... he later decided to fight the war and then give the kingdom and throne to his sister who basically abandoned the kingdom cause of a crush.. and ML move d in the countryside (farm) with the FL lead to be a family man? like WTF... you cant built up characters so much.. just so you can later on forget about and drop the character greatness that you had created in the first place.
I hate this.. its keeps happening with a lot of good dramas... great half of a drama and then part 2... its like writers were replaced and theres no more consistency in the characters
I dont know if i am going to end the show. The ML is ignored all the attention is on the greatness of the FL and the second couple they made Qimin too evil for any redemption and he’s probably gone have a bad ending. However i am happy that its doing so well popularity wise so the entire cast can get more and more projects in the future. Especially Deng Kai. Also very impressed by the acting of the smaller villain brother…good job. The director is great …especially how he’s able to make the actors perform their best…but he needs to tone down a bit on the feminist theme…just make it realistic bro…no need to overdo it.
Thats not a vertical drama…who’s the red flag? The actor? He’s playing characters…that ridiculous
Maybe this got attention..it all depends on how much activity his fan base creates online..in order for him to be deemed a safe investment. Most likely the hype now should be able to make him a reliable investment. I hope…we’ll see how it plays out. Remember…ZHL got a lot of attention from kunning palace…so it only takes one role to make an actor gain high popularity in cdramas. Best characters for Deng Kai are gray dark characters…he plays them very well
At ep 30, I love the FL but her being overpowered is getting a little too tiring to watch.
I have honestly lost interest once i saw them sky rocketing the FL to a general within 6-7 episodes…like come on…if it was that easy to become a general the whole brigade would have become one. Great director but he annoys me a bit with the woman overempowerment thing….it takes away from the director, the actors and the story line
Honestly, how QQ managed to escape just like that was what I was expecting to see people vent about🤣🤣🤣🤣.…
could they maybe be hinting at QM letting her go? so they can make him more empathetic to the viewer so when QQ will feel some type of empathy towards him.. people will not feel disgusted with her
Todays fight with prince changxin reiterate why she is an apt for such a role... her face expressions and body…
she's not petite she's 5'6 or 5'7... she's thin..yes but not petite.. and honestly compared to other Cdrama actresses she looks the healthiest... weight and muscle mass wise
