Ji Ling's consciousness is a part of Long Shan's consciousness right. Like he is a part of Long Shan ? Given the many puppets drowned in the pool, Ji Ling died a lot of times, but keeps his memories. That must mean the consciousness belongs to that cold hearted Dragon

First of all there was two powers. Dragon Deity's original power and the power that is actually Xiao Wei's that was loaned to the Dragon Deity after he lost his powers. The loaned power went back into the ring but the original power didn't go back. The current Dragon Deity might be a impostor as the original power didn't return in the scenario. Also memories from dragon deity seemed to go into Shiguang foreshadowing he might be the original Dragon Deity

It's good that he is being casted. However playing the same type of genre might become a niche for TJR. You know how crazy he was in Yun Weishan, it should reach more people

Seems like this story is a expanded version of his old short film. I went to his work and found out that the names are the same and start with a fox being saved by a mortal. Also TJR should break out of this GJM curse. All three dramas that I saw are of his direction

I'm not fond of GJM's BE tbh. I came here for TJR firstly, then the direction. Jia Rui and his obsession over killing the ML or to be killed by the ML needs to studied. It's like Cheng Lei's obsession over bath scenes

I didn't like that Xia Ziyu was the final villain as well. They could have avoided that whole mini plot but I appreciate that the drama had no loose ends within the 1983 section. They concluded everyone's plot be it major or minor characters

See this makes sense. Costume dramas are fictional in first place and hence use transmigration and time travel effectively. Modern reality to a book or past and coming back to reality again can't use these as plot devices. Thanks for the explanation @ra111ster

Love Game in Eastern Fantasy and How Dare You were both cases of modern into a book. Any drama that starts with modern era transmigration is censored as a dream in the end. Dramas that use time travel or transmigration within the costume era survive I guess

Seems like a ADWAD type of ending, even though that ending where ML comes into reality was also a book. Probably like how the ML from Joseon era came to the future in The Tyrant's Royal Chef. Explicitly saying Zhou Cheng from the past will cause censor issues, for a country that is highly developed people commiting suicide over transmigration media is pitiful
