I adore Shen Yue and I will watch everything she does but I grew up with Marvel/DC (+ some European classics) and didn't know much about manga. I am surprised how much I enjoy TCB! The cast is fantastic (love WBF), it is bright, uplifting fun (but seriosly and professionally made) and I somehow get Terry Pratchett vibes!

I saw links on X.com and tried but it doesn't work for me on Philippines' server. NordVPN doesn't have China in the list, I've tried Taiwan too and still no luck. Navigating Chinese apps is not easy for non-Chinese speakers 😕

I live in the UK and use a number of Chinese apps now because of Shen Yue content. I have tried to search/reserve Smile Code on WeTV app for MONTHS and couldn't - really, @WeTV, you do know you have an international audience too, right?? Finally I had to resort to VPN to access WeTV Philippines so I could watch it, and I LOVE every second of it. I'm not Asian and I don't really get a lot of stuff in Cdramas (cringe voices, affectations, all the flying etc). This drama looks and feels different, superb lighting, fabulous angles (thank you Director Randy Che) and chemistry between Shen Yue and Lin Yi that makes me smile so much!!

Can I ask what kind of personal problems are you having that have triggered this lengthy pathetic diatribe? Spewing hate because your life is miserable sadly won't make it better but it will turn you into rather pitiful creature. Surely you don't want that? Shen Yue is simply lovely in every conceivable way - beautiful, smart and just perfect the way she is. If you don't like her that's fine, there are many of us who do . Move on and good riddance.
