To many the cliché the right way.....as in not as annoying as usual It's the right way because...it done in a…
The last two eps weren't as entertaining for me, indeed. I'm fine with tropes, as I love the whole fake relationships and all. It's not my favorite, but the whole CEO x secretary / rich x poor is fine as well, as it is the basis of much dramas. But I found a bit stupid how he fell for her right away and the whole "search for her just because she was drunk and he heard noises", looking for her everywhere... almost at the beginning! that cliche was overridiculous for me and made no sense. Maybe because of having less eps but there wasn't much development in the relationship, time to know each other, etc. So, that driving thing was ridiculous, to me. The trauma thing was unnecessary and it's a bit cringey but it's okay, I guess. I only think it has too little eps for so many cliches haha However, as I'm watching this, I've also realized that it maybe doesn't need more eps either. I just hope they don't give much importance to the grandfather's issue. He's such a drama fan, he should just realize soon enough and accept her. I don't want any more drama about it lol I just want to see grandpa being cute haha
I started this yesterday with the confidence that it would take me enough time to finish, but it took me only a day and half and now I have to wait for 2/3 more days ;_; This drama is very entertaining. However, I've read a news article on how Koreans said this drama was the perfect example of using all drama cliches the right way, but I don't think so. Maybe because the number of eps is short and the plot is rushed, but the cliches are so awful. It's so annoying and some don't even make any sense., it seems those are randomly put together.
What’s the relationship between Hwal and Eul Tae. I saw a lot of post on YouTube about then being shipped and…
I think I know why they're being shipped, but it's a bit ridiculous hahahaha I won't spoil you much. Let's just say there is some resentment between them. And, the drama doesn't really have bromance going or actually forces that ship. I believe people ship them because they've had some scenes (two or three) where they suck each other's blood. People must have found it a bit sensual.
What happens to the places after they are renovated? I've always wanted to know. Do they become actual restaurant?…
If I remember right, they usually rent those places in order to use it for the show. I believe they let the place as it is, except the machines and utensiles (which are probably rented as well if the place wasn't a restaurant before). The work they do in the walls etc probably stay as improvements for the owner, who accepts a lower rent in return.
Not gonna lie, tried hard but couldn’t get past Episode 13. They did try well in introducing twists to make…
Interesting. I feel the beginning and the last episodes were a bit boring and a lot draggy, while the eps around 10-14, more or less, were the best ones for me. Maybe because of the romance. But I admit I had more expectations for this drama. If I knew it, I'd have watched it ongoing.
I understand, we all have different tastes :) but it's also true that many fantasy k-dramas have a lot of potential…
Sure!! - The great shaman ga doom shin (i'm loving it! Highly recommended!); - Bring it on ghost (I enjoyed it!); - Black (the drama was ruined at the end but it had so many cliffhangers/plottwists that I got to like it a lot); - Master's sun; - The Uncanny Counter (I didn't like it as much but people do speak greatly of it!); - Sell Your Haunted House; - Kingdom (but that's a little bit hardcore.. more like a zombie drama)
Now, Supernatural but not ghost stories: - He is psychometric; - Signal; - 365: repeat the year. Thrillers or suspense dramas are not my thing usually, but when it has sth fantasy related... I enjoy it!

Exactly!!!!!!!!! Maybe Urban-fantasy ones are better as the fantasy elements are a bit toned down, so it is okay. The normal fantasy ones like those you mentioned now always seem so epic and the start is great, but the plot is always missing something.... the first eps are great, but it doesn't deliver at the end. I do enjoy ghost dramas, though. Those don't need a great plot but I like it (overall, ofc)... I like supernatural :p
I watch it, but I confess I've learnt how to do it without having expectations. I love fantasy but not on Kdramas... It's always missing something. I liked some of those you mentioned, tho
Does anyone have a recommendation? I feel empty lol i wanna start watch sth asap
Have you watched The world of the married? I got some vibes from that drama and sky castle when I started Penthouse. But the world of the married is really intense and pretty epic as well!
they will not end up together. FL ghosted just like her father, ML found her years after, but they are not toghether
It was sooo ridiculous and unexpected for the kind of drama it was.. I hate both cliches!! Because the rest of the drama was pretty okay, I enjoyed it and laughed a lot!
Is the ending a sad one for the FL and ML? I read a lot of reviews giving negative comments...HELP hehe
Not exactly sad, it just has a lot of unnecessary melodrama at the end (the whole "break up + years later meeting" thing plus some stupid break up moments some eps before) and then an open ending.... which was quite ridiculous for those who were enjoying the drama. But it is not as bad as people picture it. It's because the ending was pretty unexpected, that's why people are mad.
Até o Episódio 11-12 minha nota para esse drama era 9. Estava tudo indo bem. Dei risada, fiquei com raiva (normal…
Exactamente o que eu senti! Estava a gostar tanto do drama.... a recomendá-lo e tudo.

The 16th episode does ruin it a lot by adding unnecessary drama, but I disagree with the user who said they didn't end up together. It's more like an open ending, sure, but if you understand kdramas and their "several months/years later" plot, you get it... They obviously didn't forget about each other and reunited in the end. You just don't get a kiss or an hug because the drama ends right away (like Mad for each other, for example). But they're together, in my POV. It's an unnecessary open ending >< Great I started watching this before the drama ended or else I'd not watch this and would miss a light drama like that.
