That's why I said that I get why 2nd main leads are becoming popular. Of course Ziyu will eventually grow up and overcome all the obstacles and becoming the final victor but Shangjue is the typical 'overbearing and cold man' that most male lead in dramas would possess so as of now, Shangjue is the character that almost everyone attracted to. I like Ziyu better than him though ^^ Shangjue is a bit too arrogant for my liking so I like Ziyu more. He's very kind

I love the drama but to be honest, I get why 2nd leads are getting the hype. It's because of the character setting. Shangjue is an overbearing and cold character. He is smart, cunning and was feared by all including Wufeng. Compared to Ziyu who was a bit weak and soft-hearted. There were times that he was quick witted but most of the times, he was impatient and the eagerness to prove himself somehow led him to lose his composure when facing Shangjue and the elders. The writers obviously gave Shangjue the main lead's characteristics while Ziyu looked like a supporting character. On contrast, Yun Weishan and Shangguan Qian were on par with each other. Weishan might look slow and clueless compared to Qian but at the critical times, she emerged as the winner. She's very calculative and sly. The same goes to Qian. She is the definition of poisonous beauty. She's dangerous
