Well, it makes a little sense in that the FL’s character has never been in a relationship . She only had a one sided love for her best friend for years…no real risk or vulnerability required. She was always in control and safe emotionally. Now she is in a real relationship and is having a difficult time trusting and giving up some of the control. I wish the writing was better, it seems a little lazy to bring in the ex and kid to have a plot point to break them up.

I am now starting to think that Qing Feng is He Tian Xing/AoRan’s dad in the real world. Back in the first episode He Tian Xing/AoRan grabbed his Dad’s arm in the hospital, which might have brought him to the fictional world. Maybe he is on fire because he is slowly dying in the real world.
