I think the contract contains his seal/signature so they can't deny it
that makes sense

Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I don't understand why they didn't deny writing the contract? Where's the proof that they made it? They could have claimed that it was someone else trying to frame them. And how was the contract even found? I hope this will be addressed in the next episode. From the preview, it doesn't look like they will go through with the divorce plan, thankfully.

Also, I feel like nothing really happened in this episode. There was a lot of talking and some flashbacks, but no action, no real scheming!

This is a drama about royalty, we know both sides are fighting, so as the audience we should be seeing their plotting. They keep hinting that I-An wants to become the king but we aren't shown him making any moves towards that. There are only 3 episodes left. By now there should have been some major reveal about at least one mystery in the show. Like who caused the explosion in the 1st episode? why did the previous king want I-An to take the throne? how did the king actually die?
I hope the writing picks up in these last few eps!
