A mixed bag
I don't get all the super negative reviews I have to say, is it the best GL series I've ever watched? No definitely not but it's an enjoyable ride anyway. As a fan of LingOrm I've enjoyed their second series and thought their chemistry was great. What I will say is that whoever directed their intimacy scenes needs to let loose more, I've recently seen them in episode 5 of " A safe space" and there their chemistry is smoldering while retaining a certain playfulness. What I don't know is wether that's due to a more liberal directing approach or wether the actresses actually prefer the restraint as both are self proclaimed introverts.
I actually really liked LingLing Kwong as a bodyguard and she did a good job Orm's character's bubblyness is a bit much but fitting for that particular character but I understand why it might annoy people.
Overall I thought it was an enjoyable fluff of a story with some loopholes, yes heels as bodyguards is a bit out there etc.. It's not as good as LingOrm's first work "The secret of us" but I enjoyed it nontheless and look forward to their 3rd project with hopefully less restraint during intimate moments.
