12 yrs later and ZX is still thinking of XG??? š¤¦š»āāļø
Yeah, because she will always be his biggest āwhat if,ā and he will always carry that deep regret for not acting right and ultimately losing her (even though they're just not meant to be). Seeing him finally smile, after having that gloomy, miserable expression throughout all the episodes, makes me think he has moved on and is genuinely happy for her. Still, no matter how much he heals, that lingering regret will always remain.
The show has kind of lost its peak since Season 3. It just doesnāt have the same impact, and the contestants barely gain the level of hype they did in previous seasons. But that was bound to happen, since many people are there for fame rather than genuinely dating. Season 4 was the worst, so hopefully they change things around this season.
The hosts really thought Minji would be a game changer, only for her to end up joining the Gwanhee admirer group and even crying over him. Girl??? It was honestly hard to watch the girls trying so hard to win over a man who was giving the bare minimum and constantly sending mixed signals.
I didnāt like how Gyuri treated Sieun. It was obvious she liked Minwoo from the start, but she refused to pick him the second time simply because he didnāt choose her first. He moved on, and instead of accepting that, she took it out on the girl he liked. This is a dating show, nobody owes anyone anything. I truly hope she apologized to Sieun in person.
Regardless of all the drama, the best part of the show was the friendship between the girls. ā¤ļø
Itās more like someone like him finds it hard to love, and when he finally does, he finds it even harder to move on. Thatās why, even after years, he still feels regret because everything was in his favor until he messed it up and lost her completely.
However, I believe they were not meant to be. The relationship would have eventually drained her because he would always feel inferior due to her wealthy background. That insecurity would have affected his confidence and influenced his actions, leading to constant tension. Instead of growing together, the imbalance would have created resentment, misunderstandings, and emotional strain.
In the long run, love alone wouldnāt have been enough to sustain them. A relationship needs emotional maturity, self-worth, and mutual security, and without those, it would have become unhealthy for both of them especially for her.
After watching episode 30 I realized that NXG is really sometimes out of touch of the real world. All she think…
Well, ZX deeply hurt XG through his actions, his words, and even his silence. All of it caused real damage. Meanwhile, XG proved time and time again that she is genuinely a good person who tried to do the right thing. She was honest with him. She confessed her feelings, and she even apologized when she thought her confession might have come between him and Rong, because she believed that he was already in a relationship with Rong. That alone shows emotional awareness and accountability. At no point was she out of touch with reality, nor did she cling to him desperately. Sometimes I honestly wonder if weāre even watching the same drama or reading the same novel.
This is the same girl who borrowed extra money from her cousin just to help ZX pay his motherās hospital bills. Thatās not something a selfish or detached person does. Her actions consistently showed empathy, sacrifice, and sincerity. Just because she doesnāt care about what others think of her doesnāt make her out of touch. If anything, that mindset brings peace. She was born into wealth, and thereās nothing she can do about that. What I mostly see from others is jealousy and deep-rooted envy, projected onto her simply because of her background. Despite everything that happened in college, she could have completely cut them off but she didnāt. She still honored their invitations and showed up for gatherings, which speaks volumes about her character and emotional maturity.
On the other hand, ZXās behavior reflects deep insecurity. Iāve personally been in a relationship with someone like him someone who believes they arenāt worthy of you and, instead of only working on themselves, tries to drag you down through their words or actions. Relationships like that never end well. They constantly shift blame, accuse you of pushing them into certain behaviors, and completely overlook your feelings. Deep down, it often stems from resentment and inferiority, especially when they believe you come from privilege. Thatās why no amount of justification will make people root for ZX. His pain may explain his actions, but it doesnāt excuse them. In the end, XG did her best, stayed true to herself, and chose self-respect and thatās exactly why she deserved better.
I'm on ep 10, how did LYS become a Chief Neurosurgeon at the age of 26/27?
Chief neurosurgeon? I donāt think so. Heās a genius and very good at what he does, but as far as I know, heās still like a student under that renowned surgeon.
loved how she told that colleague not to tell the pursuing thing to 2ml
Yes, itās more like that. She knew the sml likes XG, and knew this would give him hope. She did it mainly for her own benefit. However, I honestly donāt care, because I donāt like sml and also don't want him with fl anyway.
I am rewatching ep 2 - why the heck did she not dial the real number to kick that Rong out of the interview. This…
Because sheās a good person who reconsidered the possible consequences of her actions, which is why she ended up dialing the wrong number. Unlike the others, who were quick to judge, blame, and paint her as the villain. That hesitation shows she has a conscience and isnāt as malicious as they made her out to be. Rather than acting impulsively, she showed restraint, which says a lot about her character.
She probably thought something bad had happened to him and was worried, which is why she was angry that he didnāt…
Like I said, itās a preview for a reason, and there would have been several scenes before that preview, so you still canāt judge based on one scene alone. There was even a scene in the trailer before that where she ran to him in the hospital and was relieved.
the preview of 20 / 21 episode is a frustration for me . The first thing she did showing her feeling for him ,…
She probably thought something bad had happened to him and was worried, which is why she was angry that he didnāt message her if he was alright. He actually did send a message, but it didnāt go through because of poor network. Itās a preview for a reason so itās better to watch the whole episode before judging and calling her stupid.
leaching off your parents and pathetic ohhh he gotta to go
And the audacity he has to think the fl owes him anything because of a stupid promise he made in his own head. He wanted her to be a doormat, someone who would wait around until he decided it was convenient to show her affection while he treated her like she didnāt matter and chose to believe his toxic childhood friend over her.
I hate how the story keeps shoving him and his teammates in our faces. He should honestly just disappear.
I really hope sml doesnāt try to interfere in their relationship. He had more than enough chances because she genuinely liked him and made it obvious but he completely messed it up. Now that she's moving on, he has no right to insert himself or cause confusion. His indecisiveness, mixed signals, and manipulative behavior have already caused enough damage. If he has even a shred of shame and self-awareness, he should stay out of her life instead of showing up with that pathetic, self-serving attitude.
I hate their friend group. You canāt tell me that they donāt all secretly resent NXG, except for that one girl. Rong also misled NXG. If she had been honest and admitted that she liked sml, Iām sure NXG would not have confessed her feelings, and the situation would not have turned so sour. NXG acted in good faith, believing she wasnāt crossing any boundaries, only to later realize that she had been placed in a position which even caused tension within the friend group.
I donāt know which secret the mlās father found out, whether it was that she lied to get the job or dating his son but none of that justifies slapping her. He didnāt even know her personally and she's an employee, so treating her that way was completely out of line. At worst, he could have simply fired her or confronted her properly. The physical violence was unnecessary and excessive.
This is where the drama really went downhill. The scene felt forced and poorly written, as if the writer dropped logic and realism just to create shock value and drag the story forward which donāt even align with the characters. It ruined the emotional impact and made the plot feel messy and frustrating rather than engaging.
