This drama isn’t for everyone. If it’s not your cup of tea, it’s better to just drop it and watch something else rather than waste your time hating on it. I understand the love triangle can be frustrating, but the show made that clear right from ep 1 you knew what you were signing up for. The story was always meant to explore complicated emotions and imperfect relationships, so expecting everything to go smoothly kind of misses the point. Sometimes, it’s better to enjoy the storytelling for what it is instead of forcing it to fit your expectations.

I still don't get it why Yr didn't express her feelings for JP during these 7 years, if she was a true friend…
I don’t think she would want to tell anyone about what happened, not even JP, because she was trying to protect her. What happened is a secret between the two of them.

Also, it was pretty clear that she wanted to tell JP that JH was back when they were eating together at the hospital, but he had to leave before she could say it.

I understand that she could’ve told JP about her feelings all these years, but the drama really emphasized on the timing which was never on her side. When she tried to express her feelings, something got in the way.

And honestly, I also agree that JH isn’t a villain either. Both YR and JH are flawed but human, and friends who sacrificed for eachother, that’s why they deserve to be happy

The preview for the next episode triggered me because there seems to be what I feel is entitlement coming from…
True, that scene from the preview where he introduced her to his mom as the girl he likes felt off. It came across as if he was putting pressure on her to accept his feelings. I get that he didn’t want to lose his chance and decided to just go for it, but still — let’s call a spade a spade. Even he knows she likes JP, so it feels a bit unfair to put her in that kind of situation emotionally.

I think some people are being too hard on JH. She literally asked JP about his relationship with YR, and he clearly said they were just friends so of course she believed there was nothing going on or any feelings attached. Since YR is his closest friend, it made sense for JH to ask her for help in getting closer to JP. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but I’m looking at it from this perspective.

Yes, it’s unfortunate how things are turning out between them, and I do agree that JH should’ve asked YR if she still had feelings for JP, especially since she already knew YR liked him before. But realistically, if two close friends have been together for seven years and never dated, it’s natural to assume there were no romantic feelings between them. And with JP clearly saying they were just friends, it’s understandable that JH believed there was no chance of anything more between him and YR.

As for JP, he genuinely had no idea that YR liked him. Some moments may have given the wrong impression about his relationship with JH now, but that was just him being kind and considerate. Still, I think there should be some closure between him and JH.

None of these things make JP a douchebag or the “jerk” have seen some people call him. The only thing I’d fault him for is not being honest about his feelings sooner but even that’s understandable. It’s not easy transitioning from friends to lovers, especially when you’re unsure if the other person feels the same way. Confessing could mean losing the friendship entirely or making things awkward between you. I’ve been in that situation before, so I completely understand how difficult that can be.

I’m not really a fan of JH, especially because of the way he teases YR by calling her ugly — that part has always rubbed me the wrong way. But I have to admit, he genuinely cares for her, and YR deserves someone who loves her wholeheartedly like that. If JP can make things right in the next episode, I’ll still be rooting for Team Yeongpil, to be honest. But if YR ends up changing her feelings and decides to choose JH, that’s perfectly fine too. She deserves happiness and the freedom to choose what truly makes her happy and peaceful especially after all these mess.

Yh like what if JH didn’t come could she have asked him in 10 yr or something
No, she literally got orange rose before that but couldn't confess because she got interrupted by JH her brother's friend. It's just the timing and I think her and JP literally friend zoned eachother despite having feelings for eachother

Title A Hundred Memories Spoiler
I just hope this doesn’t turn into another “you and everything else”—with JH still in love with JP when she should’ve moved on. In the next preview, she’s even wearing the sneakers. Did JP saying he’s just friends with YR give her the hint that there’s nothing going on between them, so now she thinks she can get back with him? I really hope not.

If JP still has feelings for JH after all those moments and scenes with YR, then he’s going to come off as a completely unredeemable character.

Here's the problem with that: none of that happened on-screen.Last time we saw him before the time jump, he was…
I believe they will still show that, along with JP’s feelings for YR or maybe it’s just friendship after all. But your argument was that he was head over heels for JH, and suddenly he’s now close with YR. That’s why I said that can’t really be a problem, because 7 yrs have already passed, and we need to keep that in perspective before judging anything. 7 yrs is more than enough time for things to change.

Finally, I said that the only real issue would be if they don’t show us how things ended up this way, not that it’s unrealistic or unacceptable for them to be close after 7 yrs.
Like we've seen the change in dynamic with their families. JP's father only listens to YR, his step-mom and him eats at YR's place. Even the step mom trying to get them together because they've been friends for long according to her.

Some people are still stuck in “yesterday,” forgetting that “yesterday” was actually 7 yrs ago in the story.

YR even explained to JH that JP went through a lot. His family went bankrupt, and he had to deal with several personal struggles. That clearly shows that time has passed and lives have changed.

The only mistake the writer could make at this point would be not showing us the events and growth that happened, and how these relationships deepened.

We shouldn’t exclude the reality that 7 yrs is enough time for things to change, feelings evolve, priorities shift, and people grow apart or closer in ways we might not expect even before they showed us what happened.

For example: 8 yrs ago, my sis was working really hard to get into medical school. Everyone knew how desperate she was for that and believed she was capable of achieving it, but 8 yrs later, she's a QA and product manager in a tech company. If I were in a movie and they suddenly showed her to me as a product manager, of course I would wonder how that happened. With thoughts like, “Wasn’t she working hard to become a doctor? How come she’s now a product manager when just yesterday she wanted to take an entrance exam?”

Logically, that kind of reasoning excludes the fact that 8 yrs have already passed and a lot could have changed. The best part is simply getting to see the events that happened to make things end up this way.

‘Suddenly’? Mind you, 7 years have passed. Hopefully, they’ll show us how they all became this close over the years. It might seem sudden to you, but logically, a lot would have happened during that time especially considering how close they all are now, even their families. Even his stepmom is trying to push them together because they’ve been friends for such a long time.

That's exactly how I felt too until 8th episode honestly 😂😂
Same here, I'm all for JP and YR. I just hope next week will turn good for both of them and the friendship as a whole.

Lol after all the scenes with YR?
Then the writer will totally ruin his character. It's better the 3 just remain friends than him ending up with JH

How is she the one attached to him and forcing love? He’s the one who invited her to be his date at his event, came to her salon to get his hair done, and even carried her on his back when she got hurt. I don’t understand people like you who keep blaming YR just because you see her as an obstacle to your ship. Yes, she still likes him, but at the end of the day, she’s been a good friend to both JP and JH. Honestly, JP should be the one to distance himself from her, because his actions are what’s confusing her.

Yeah I don't think anyone assumes he will ditch her. I personally don't even want him with JH as an end game anymore.…
We’ve only seen one episode after the time skip, and it’s already clear how much closer they’ve become in yrs. YR gave up her dreams to work in a salon, and we still don’t know what happened to her after she told JH to run away that night. It’s just one episode after the time skip

How is it unskillful when they’ve been friends for seven years?
If JP likes YR now, it’s not something that just appeared out of nowhere. They’ve shared 7 yrs of friendship, understanding, and closeness.

If he still likes JH then they should end up together if she still feels the same but if it's the opposite, I want closure between him and JH first. Only then can he truly and sincerely pursue YR because YR deserves someone who’s sure about her.

She’s still finding it hard to tell him that she likes him, so at this point, JH might be the one to tell JP that YR has liked him for a long time.
