Just realized that UTG’s character has a lot of overlap with Al Pacino’s Michael Corleone in “The Godfather,” which fits perfectly because I read that Al Pacino is one of UTG’s favorite actors/inspirations. The way he acted during the scene early in the series with the Macaron Soft CEO reminded me sooooooo much of Pacino, and now I understand why.

My interpretation is that Ko Yang Hui knew Ji Hwan was aware they were in a very public, peaceful location AND in front of his girlfriend (He refused to go elsewhere.), so it was unlikely that Ji Hwan would or could do anything to him in front of all those people. Especially since we see at the end of the episode how everyone reacts when Ji Hwan confronts the guy who shows up at Thirsty Deer to see Dong Hui.
