Nope, it was an angel. And I bet the old lady is God.
Yeah, the old woman could just be an all-knowing being, whether she’s “God” god or not. Bit Na’s collapsing will probably just be heart palpitations because *emotions omg*, but I think I’m just so intrigued by this introduction of different types of demons and beings from both Heaven and Hell. It’s got my brain churning out way too many theories.
This is in Disney Plus with the amount of violence in the first episode? Lol.
Disney is a massive company that owns and puts out far more than just kids movies. Now that I think about it, the ones I’ve watched (on Hulu, but that’s Disney) have all been quite violent. Off the top of my head, I can name The Worst of Evil, Connect, A Shop For Killers, Big Mouth, Shadow Detective, Vigilante, and even Red Swan. I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting.
Nope, it was an angel. And I bet the old lady is God.
I was thinking that Bit Na was asking if there are demons from heaven because of the old woman, but I could see her being another heavenly figure. I’m also wondering if her presence in the apartment is what made Bit Na collapse.
From what I managed to find, it doesn’t seem to be a matter of censorship or conservatism, but perhaps I’m wrong. I only watched eps 7 and 8 again on a diff site and they seemed to just cut random scenes or shorten them. Again, I haven’t been able to find any official information or explanation. I’m now just wary of KDramas on Hulu/Disney, which has had a ton of great ones so far.
Yep, and I can’t find any official explanation for it aside from a few people on Reddit who watched both and confirmed the differences. I don’t know if it was MBC or Disney/Hulu that chose to do that, but it makes absolutely no sense to me.
Anyone know if the episodes on Hulu are different from the ones that air on SBS? I’m paranoid after watching almost all of “Black Out” on Hulu and then learning that they edited out a ton of scenes.
They’re gonna need another two-episode spinoff just to tie up the stories. If Ji Uk leaves and they do a time jump, my opinion of this drama (which has been so fun) will plummet HARD.
Also, I have not been invested in Hui Seong’s story because the writers haven’t given her any depth. She’s been the token middle sister, the token polyamorist, and now the token pregnant woman. We know so much about Hae Yeong and Ja Yeon, but Hui Seong is just…there.
It seems like each sister should get a 2-episode spinoff to complete their stories, but I’m sure that’ll never happen.
Here’s hoping I’m wrong and the ending will be satisfying! 🤞🏻
I’m not sure if they deliberately made the door to hell look like Rodin’s “The Gates of Hell,” but looking at them side by side, I think they must’ve taken at least some inspiration.
I think the ending would’ve worked better if this had been a movie (which I believe is how the creators initially pitched it), simply because we would have an easier time remembering the opening scene. By the end of episode 8, I certainly hadn’t forgotten the first episode, but it took me a little while to connect the two since sooooooooooooo much happened in between. Tbh, I’d be interested to see the film version the creators initially envisioned, just for the sake of comparison. I thoroughly enjoyed this series, but I can’t help but be curious.

I’m not sure about all the missing scenes because I also want/need to go back and watch the original episodes. I already found scenes of Na Gyeom that Hulu doesn’t show and that’s insane, considering how significant her character is to unraveling the mystery.
Umm was just trying to look up when the rest will be on Hulu (didn’t find the answer) and found out that the Hulu episodes are condensed and missing scenes from the original???????? WHY
Is it there for you yet? episode 9 isn’t showing me for either & it’s already 4pm
Nope, still nothing showing up for me! I think the previous comment is right about Hulu probably waiting to release the rest of the episodes at the same time, since they released the first 8 eps all at once. I don’t get why they’re doing it this way.
Is it a real restaurant or they build this set to provide " atmosphere" in dramas😁, Queen Elizabeth looked…
What IS the “atmosphere” they’re trying to create? Confusion? Because I’m confused lol. Is it a rom-com restaurant you go to as an ex-mobster? Or is it a thriller restaurant where you find incriminating texts on your skeevy husband’s phone? Whatever the case, Queen Elizabeth is WATCHING.
