How is this compared to stranger? Stranger was masterpiece. And seo dong jae's character development was especially…
They’re sooooooo different. This is a self-aware satire alongside an investigation into drugs, murder, and of course, corruption. Despite the severity of the crimes, the show’s focus on Dong Jae’s…unique approach to the world and law is both hilarious and a great continuation of his character development. If you appreciated his arc and don’t mind satire, you’ll probably like it.
Re: Ep 2 I assume that kicking both legs while lying on your back like a bug is a very important move they teach during mandatory military service. It kinda worked?
Rewatching Ep 9 before 10 and I know Arong/Gremory is causing a ton of problems for our leads, but my main gripe with her? Wearing THAT outfit to a very formal funeral. I know she’s a demon but I (apparently) draw the line at inappropriate funeral attire.
The landlady constantly saying, “Jagiya” has been setting off my Seo Moon Jo alarm bells this whole time. I’m not convinced she’s necessarily evil or supernatural, but she’s hiding something. The preview showed what looked like a flashback to her husband’s funeral. I’m so glad we’re finally learning people’s true identities.
I can forgive them for that because what are the odds of them finding multiple 30+ year old Hitachis? That being…
Haha true about finding old hitachis. And yes, after I posted that I realized that the color is too modern (The vibrator overall is too modern, but they must’ve wanted to make it look appealing AND easier to toss around during that first presentation.). Old Hitachis looked like appliances lol. Battery-powered in 1992 does make sense, you’re right.
I’m on episode 11 and this is becoming a chore. When you’re actively rooting for the vampire to kill the “good…
Just finished ep 11 and couldn’t agree more. I’m watching it as if Gwi and Hye Ryeong are the mains and the rest are side characters.
Luckily I went into this with crazy low expectations and knew LSH was the main draw. I’m pleasantly surprised by Hye Ryeong’s character. They gave us a poorly written FL and main romance, but Hye Ryeong’s character is delightfully enigmatic. I don’t know what she’s up to and I like it!
Man Do’s first attempt at PowerPoint is so realistically and hysterically bad. That font! Every slide is a full-on essay. I wanna see him go take computer classes at the library.
Also love the dynamic of Da On and Man Do meeting up. Bit Na is driving both of them insane, so it would be fitting for them to bond.
The Gremory reveal did take my by surprise, but I was mainly heartbroken for the poor demon/volunteer whom she forced to kill himself. I feel even worse for his human gf.
The assembyman is giving me Satan vibes. In Ep6 the camera focused on that wine bottle with the painting that looks like part of the mysterious demonic painting Bitna/Justitia has in her apartment.
He also says he isn’t drinking more because he “wants to live long,” aka Satan trying to live forever as human on Earth.
Plus, we know politicians eating expensive steak almost always means they’re the big bad.
