he's one of my favorite Japanese actors, hope he wins an Emmy for his performance
Absolutely agree about deserving that Emmy. I believe he’d also be awarded as a producer if the show wins. I’ve watched some other great Emmy-eligible performances this past year, but they are nowhere near his level of prowess.
For anyone who is still on the fence about watching Save Me 2, I present this video (The subtitles are in Turkish, which I don’t speak, but you don’t need to know what he’s saying lol). And yes, that is Han Sun Hwa’s arm at 0:49. https://youtu.be/JQhrd3O0UGU?si=BSN5Lae4rmyAZwFE
Amazing how the leads can create such chemistry and I'm only on episode 2. Where has Uhm Tae Goo been all this…
He’s been typecast as a noir gangster/criminal, so this is the perfect bridge for him into a new genre. The leads also have great chemistry in Save Me 2, which I highly recommend.
I just rewatched Save Me 2 in preparation for this, but waiting a week for new episodes might necessitate yet another rewatch to keep me sane from week to week. It’s also one of the best dramas I’ve ever watched (soooooo much better than season 1). I urge everyone enjoying this current drama to go back and watch Save Me 2, but be warned that it is brutal, eerily realistic, and often heartbreaking. Seeing the same actors performing so well together in a fluffy camp rom-com (with heavy-hitting social commentary) is fascinating and a testament to their talent.
I’m only 24 minutes into the first episode and my body already hurts from laughing. Don’t even look at the rating—look at the rest of the comments, which are almost all positive.
Coming back to this page to read the negative reviews and comments all weekend has been far more entertaining than the 2.5 episodes I managed to watch lololol
Decided not to waste my weekend or harm my brain and stopped watching halfway through ep 3. I was missing the “Pyramid Game” vibe, but this is nothing like that.
