After watching " Princess Agents" two years ago, which I loved for its drama, action, and fantastic chemistry between the two main actors, I have to say that while watching "Rebirth," I noticed two things that, in my opinion, clash a little. The first is the choice of the male lead to replace Lin Geng Xin, who isn't as intense, enigmatic, and zen-like. Che Yi would have been better suited for this role. Nothing to take away from Lin Yu Rui, who is a very good actor, but in my opinion, he isn't suited to this role. His gaze isn't as expressive, and his character doesn't have the strength and personality to play the previous protagonist, perhaps also due to the difference in age and maturity. On the other hand, I found "FL" very similar to the previous one, so it's okay. The story unfolds much more quickly than the previous one, which at times doesn't leave time to process, so I feel it's a bit rushed and lacks emotional impact. I've reached episode 5, hopefully it gets better from there.
I think the makeup used in this series is ugly, even if it's more faithful to the original. It's important to keep in mind that the series is aimed at an audience whose aesthetic standards are profoundly different from those of the past. If we were to use this realistic method of reproduction, the women in films set in the Western Middle Ages would be plump and rosy-cheeked. But if they were reproduced like this, no one would be interested in watching them, because in every series, you fall in love with the actors and identify with them.
Even if this statement were true, I don't understand the reason for all this controversy. It seems quite normal to me that we work for money as well as passion. Are there any of you who do it for charity? So whoever fuelled this whole fuss, ė just ridiculous and childish.

I didn't like it, I found it boring. The character of Xu Kai not very incisive and not very intense. The female protagonist apathetic and boring. I'm expressing my point of view, if for her it was satisfactory according to her tastes, which however are not like mine.
