The legend of Fu Yao’s ending drove me nuts 🤪. the two leads were fighting, because he was trying to bring her back to herself, and just hacking away to each other, and she finally was able to bring herself back. Their friends were running around trying to find them had no idea where they were and then literally faded out and then the next scene was them running around, laughing with him, giving her a piggyback. I remember commenting at the time that I thought they had died and we’re together in the afterlife and somebody was like no they lived and I was like where is the logic?😂

Conflict is to come, and we’ve already had that one where she “died“. But there’s still battles to be had we’re not out of the woods yet, but I just like how they mix angst and sadness and grief with the same lighthearted, comedy and realness of feelings and emotions here.

I really hope they follow through to the end with following the novel. This is so far the best xianxia/fantasy I’ve ever seen and I can’t stand the xianxia genre. I wish they were all like this. No misunderstandings, no annoying guerrilla glue obsessed character tropes, proper communication, great chemistry and fantastic comedy. Very real, more modern take on things. Solid storyline, good acting.
