RYM is such a stupid man --- it is a given that the mistress is not even at par in beauty with his ex-wife -- physically miles apart; character-wise, maturity, responsibility even a million miles farther. There have been soooo many instances for this stupid RYM to fully understand and absorb in his dumb, dense mind and heart that SY is evil -- the scene at his promotion party, the admission that she orchestrated Liang Yuan's dismissal, LY's scene at the office where she slapped and exposed SY's evil deeds, the smashing of his daughter's birthday cake, the staged suicide, lying about pregnancy, another party scene with RYM's new assistant, and ohhh so many to enumerate. It seems that RYM is just plain stupid --- "retribution" your a$#$$ --- if your ex-wife cannot welcome you back to your house --- live somewhere else and not insist on living together with SY --- (why continue doing that? So you have someone to play with when you are overtaken by guilt? Can you even fathom sleeping next to Satan's girl every night??? Well-deserved retribution for only a hellish existence is the proper punishment for all your sins!!!
