Very disappointed
This kdrama has been on my list for a long time because it wasn't available for US watchers. From what I remember, SO many claimed this was an all time favorite of theirs... and I don't get it. :/The first half of the drama I actually enjoyed. It's when the FL has a "vision" though, that all characters just don't make sense. It got to the point that when characters started dying I just didn't care (BESIDES MS OH, I bawled). I knew the FL wasn't going to be with her cousin's husband but the masked prince - BUT the transition from her first love to the masked prince was trash. At that point I started questioning who I was rooting for. The masked prince became aggressive suddenly and forced a kiss and I am NOT here for it. The rest of the cast too just seemed to switch all traits and desires out for something completely out of character... :(
Needless to say, I finished it all the way through and it never got better, just worse.
I think giving it the amount of stars I gave it is more than it deserved 🤷♀️

I am VERY picky!
It took me a bit of time to decide I was going to watch this kdrama. I had watched TW not too long ago and this felt similar; I didn’t find the male lead attractive (sorry?! something about his lips??); and any mention of K-pop idols having a romantic relationship with their fans is just a 🚫for me. But I kept seeing clips of it and the chemistry between the leads made me change my mind. And I’m so glad I gave this a shot! I have NOTHING I can nitpick! Part 1 is Top Notch
I have thoroughly enjoyed the first four eps. The acting has been TOP NOTCH and the drama has made a lot of changes away from the webtoon that makes me enjoy the characters, and overall, the story more. Compared to the webtoon, I disliked the main character and all the other characters. I mainly read it because the story intrigued me and I wanted to know how it ended. In the show, though, they really make you want to give most of them a hug.I also love how this show is taking a very serious issue in Korea (and around the world) and showing the aftermath of suicide. As someone who has had a loved one attempt suicide, this show has really expressed how I felt about it and it’s nice to share that with my loved one as well. First two episodes we see our lead being totally selfish and not seeing the bigger picture but the 3rd and 4th episode really hones in on the aftermath of that loss and changes our lead.
Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
