Here's the thing I dislike about BL fans the most: the criticism directed at any series that somehow falls outside of what they seem to think are the proscribed aspects of what they want a BL show to be about. This is how we end up with a bunch of shows that follow the same tried and tested format. Stop criticising shows because they're not 'following the plan' you want. It's so annoying. There's a million different ways to tell a story. Why does this show warrant THOUSANDS OF COMMENTS FROM YOU GUYS dissing the way it's been told. 'Wheres the kissing! This character isn't acting the way I personally want him to! Why is there a boring het couple, why didn't they make her a lesbian!!' Does the show warrant an echo chamber of negative comments to this extent? Can't you just realise your likes and dislikes are subjective and not the fault of the show? It's so depressing. You guys need to watch/read more widely. Alternatively, realise not everything is gonna please you. It doesn't mean we need to hear all your thoughts about an episode because they focused on the side couple instead.
It's damaging to queer content to spout that rubbish, and is a real bad look for fans of BL as genre that you can't abide it when a series doesn't do what you want it to do exactly.
