The only Problem here: it's marketed and advertised as a romantic drama, but it's just a wuxia fantasy drama with a few romantic elements. So don´t focuss on the romance, but the story and the wuxia elements.

She had a very strong and independend character/role in "Under the Power", but in this drama they made her do a lot of "slapstick humor", which I think is kind of dumb.
Wang Duo ..... as Bing Zhu
He is not a "support role", cause he got more screen time than the actual ML. He benefits from a very well-written script. His dialogue and statements are logical, intelligent, and meticulously crafted. His actions always make sense. Nothing seems exaggerated or ill-considered. His acting is more than convincing. He utilizes the excellent script and gets the most out of his character. Very impressive and outstanding acting. He also gets a well-written, very fitting backstory that makes his character more multidimensional and interesting.
Hou Ming Hao ...... as Hong Ye
His character is somewhat dull and bland. He often seems impassive or even indifferent. He lacks energy. There are too many quiet scenes where he has dialogue but comes across as passive. His backstory is only superficially touched upon and barely resonates with the viewer on an emotional level. His portrayal as the "Lord of the Demons" is also unconvincing and could have been filmed much better. It's a real shame, because I'm actually watching the drama because of Hou Ming Hao ;)
I'm so annoyed with Ling Cang Cang because she keeps running to her father, being nice to him, and still showing him appreciation, even though he's done so much to her! How many times has he lied to her and betrayed her so badly? He even poisoned her! He's the reason she was angry with Xiao Huan. She was angry for a very long time. She had a terrible wedding and suffered terribly for hours and days. I would never speak another word to my father!!! That's why I can't stand her! Also, because she never apologized to Xiao Huan! She never asked Xiao Huan for forgiveness. But she runs after her old, unscrupulous father. She's a red flag!
