I believe the ML ‘sand SML’s mother is the biggest culprit who totally ignored her husband CEO and his son the ML prior and after he passed away. She never tried to raise him to become a responsible adult. She showed no grief whatsoever for the CEO passing or letting his son living homeless on the street.
Her brother brainwashed her to abandon her husband and her stepson by the secret divorce.. Although she claimed she loved the ML, she totally deserted him when she was convinced that the SML is her real son and when her real love came back in her life. She pretended to be the part time caring mother only they met coincidentally.
In my opinion, she worked out to be the ML’s and his deceased father’s bad luck.
