I love this series. I love the depth they have given to the plot and characters compared to the novel. The book seems very superficial, but the series has done a good job with its adaptation.
This episode has been very necessary to understand how the characters feel: Yak's guilt for not being able to say goodbye to his mother and for feeling like a burden to Yei; Dee's fear of not being loved and the fear of being abandoned, something he had so hidden in his heart that he had never shared it with his grandmother before. These fears of Dee explain why he is reluctant to formalize his relationship with Yak. Dee doesn't feel safe to take the last step. He believes that he is not good enough to have someone by his side. He wants to protect himself, he doesn't want to be hurt again 🥹; all the sacrifice and internal suffering of Yei, who has had to assume the role of father to his brother; the absences of the parents, which generate trauma and pain in their children... All these conflicts make you understand even more their characters and their way of relating.

And I also love that they are going to show us all that pressure that professional athletes go through. Yak is going to compete much more often now to help his brother pay off the debt and that will not only worsen his shoulder injury but will also increase his stress and with it, his PTSD will worsen. This physical and mental burden is common in highly competitive sports and can push anyone to their limits. Athletes always have to be very strong mentally, but when you are faced with a lot of things physically and emotionally, you can feel overwhelmed. I'm looking forward to seeing how they show this in the next episode. And I'm also looking forward to seeing Dee free himself from his fears, his doubts, and his insecurities. I love that the series took its time to show us this whole process of Dee, it feels realistic and really necessary.
Yak and Dee had to meet each other to help each other heal, mature and grow. They are both the right person for each other. The truth is that this series has been quite a surprise.

I honestly don't understand the amount of negative comments about Dee.
Dee has always followed Ter, seeking to please him and be perfect in his eyes. Dee adapted so much to what Ter expected of him, that he really forgot to be himself. Additionally, Dr. Ter used Dee's feelings at will, so it's understandable that Dee feels vulnerable now and wants to take back control to protect himself. It's like Dee got out of an eight-year toxic relationship.
Meeting Yak helped Dee rediscover, empower, and love himself. It has been a long process that is still ongoing. Yak does not demand anything from Dee and does not impose any rhythm on him, but rather lets Dee follow his own rhythm. Yak understands the limits Dee imposes on him, respects his decisions and always seeks his consent, as he should. And all this is exactly what Dee needs to surrender without fear.

Dee needs to feel valued and respected, which is why this flirting phase they have now entered is so important to him. Dee wants to experience the feeling of being conquered, of having someone win his heart, especially after the rejection he has suffered from Ter (and which was a hard blow to his self-esteem). Dee needs to feel that he is worthy and important enough for someone else to choose him and fight for him. And Yak knows it, that's why he proposed this courtship. Both are totally sure of each other's feelings, this phase they are in is simply necessary to strengthen their relationship.

The fact that Dee is currently "denying" Yak kisses is part of the flirtation between the two. It's a game of tug of war. Dee pretends to refuse because he loves how Yak begs him, this makes him feel loved and respected. And that leads Dee to give in to Yak. They always give in to each other.
They both receive and give the same in return. Dee has helped Yak feel supported, valued and understood. Both are each other's safety net, the person in front of whom they can show themselves as they are, without feeling judged. And it's clear that they both have trauma from the death of their parents and will help each other through this process, as they have with everything else. Yak has already started his therapy with Kao, but I'm sure Dee also talked about his own trauma with his friend. In these last episodes Yak and Dee will surely open up to each other and talk openly about this topic. So we still need to know a little more about the burdens that both carry on their own shoulders.

I don't understand so many complaints from people, honestly. It's very easy to see how they both feel. YakDee is a couple that understands each other perfectly. They both have consideration for each other's feelings and respect each other. Yak is a green flag for Dee and Dee is a green flag for Yak. And if this is not understood, then we are not watching the same series.

I feel like people don't understand this series or its development. What happens is that, in this era of social networks, in which immediacy and the most summarized content possible prevail, we have lost the ability to reflect on what they tell us, we are lazy to think and everything seems boring to us. We are no longer able to pay attention for a long time and see what is really in front of us.
It makes me laugh that many people say that this series has no plot or that it is boring, but then we find a lot of series with plots that are nothing special and that receive all the support. In the end, if Wandee Goodday were starring better-known actors from GMMTV, who already have a more established fandom, the series would be receiving more support and more positive comments, even if it had exactly the same plot that you are criticizing so much. The same has happened with Only Boo, one of the best series of this year in my opinion and one that deserved more love from the public.

I'm currently reading the novel and I have to say that I'm liking the series a lot more. I feel like they are giving more depth to the story and the characters. I don't understand why the series isn't getting more support.
And personally, what happened with Ohm and Taem did not seem like unnecessary drama to me at all. These things happen in real life and often with trusted people. It is very important to show this, because in the end when this happens to you with someone you know, you try to justify it or downplay it or you think that you are actually taking things out of context. And no one should touch you without consent. I understand Taem's fear, because in the end you don't know what the other person is really going to do and what their true intentions are. Also, I like that the series shows us that instead of assuming things on our own, we should ask first. And the series has taught us this more than once, not just with this situation.

They are both confessing to each other, but the big difference is that Yak doesn't tell Dee that he has stopped liking Taemrak. And this is what makes Dee feel insecure. Dee knows that Yak likes him but he doesn't know if he likes him enough for Yak to choose him over Taemrak. That's why he believes that the two are continuing with the deal they had and that's why he confesses to his grandmother that he fears that Yak will disappear in the end. He doesn't directly ask Yak about the two of them because he's afraid of his answer. The fact that Yak openly tells him that he loves him is very important to him. It's all Dee needs to feel safe.
And Dee has been clear with Ter about his current feelings toward him. He may have hesitated previously, but in the end he has unconsciously rejected Ter on more than one occasion. Something I like about Dee is that he doesn't want to hurt anyone or be inconsiderate of other people's feelings. That's why he's never been abrupt or rude to Ter, even though Ter deserved it.

The same goes for Yak. He has had a crush on Taemrak for some time, feeling that this girl only sees him as a friend. It is understandable that both Dee and Yak have to go through that transition phase to accept the new feelings. I think the series has done well in this regard. The drama that occurs in episode 7 was necessary for both of them to realize who has more weight in their hearts.
Although Yak was the first to say "I love you", in reality the first to take the step when it came to showing his feelings was Dee with the kiss from the previous episode. Dee made it very clear to Yak from the beginning that he would only give his first kiss to the person he had feelings for. Before kissing him, Dee clarifies that he gives him that kiss because he truly wants it and then he even tells Yak that he no longer has feelings for Ter. His actions and words are clearer than water. And Yak returns the necklace telling him that both the necklace and him are Dee's. Which means that Yak also has feelings for Dee.

I get the feeling that a lot of people are not understanding Dee. I see a lot of criticism towards him that seems unfair to me. Dee had been in love with Dr. Ter for eight years. It was only two months ago that he decided to confess his feelings to him because he believed that Ter felt the same as him. And this man tells him that it is his imagination, that he sees him only as a brother. And finally, he rejects him in the cruelest way, telling him that Dee is too vanilla: he is too simple and bland, he is not interesting or tempting enough. This creates great insecurity in Dee, because it makes him think that he is not valid enough for someone to desire him and want to be with him. No matter how hurt and disappointed Dee is with Ter because of his attitude, the feelings accumulated over all those years are not going to disappear overnight. He began his "relationship" with Yak immediately afterwards, without having completely let go of his feelings for Ter. And suddenly he realizes that, in just two months, he has started to have feelings for Yak too. It is logical that he is confused. It is logical that he needs time to understand his feelings.

I decided to create a couple of topics in the discussion section to talk about some points that have generated so much controversy: on the one hand the ending, and on the other hand MhokDay's breakup and Day's anger with Night. I would love for anyone who would like to stop by to talk about their point of view, no matter how different it may be from mine, because I believe that different opinions and interpretations, given with respect, can help us all to understand other realities. Thank you for reading.

The message this series leaves is that, regardless of what situation you face and regardless of whether you have a disability or not, you can have a happy life. It tells us that, although we cannot always change our reality, we can change the way we face it. And it is by accepting our reality and adapting to it that we will truly feel satisfied and happy.

The series has shown us for 12 episodes that people with disabilities can have a normal, full and happy life. Just as it has shown us different realities: there are people who were born with a disability or who have a permanent disability, like Aon, and there are people, like Day, who have had an injury for which there is treatment (and it is the decision of those people to undergo it or not). The series is not telling us that disability has to be treated or fixed, it simply shows us that Day, specifically, wants to be able to see again. Day should not be judged for that, just as he should not be judged otherwise. LT shows us that there are different experiences and different realities, and all are equally valid. There is not only one valid representation. Day's experience does not cease to be valid because he has regained his vision.
Day was happy while he was blind and Day is still happy when he regains his vision, that has not changed, because Day's happiness is mainly due to everything he has achieved for himself, everything he has achieved in life, everything he has learned and all the people around him. For Day, regaining his sight only adds a little more happiness to the happy life he already had when he couldn't see, but his happiness doesn't depend exclusively on having regained his vision

🥰 Thank you for your words! It seemed very unfair to me that a series with such a beautiful and powerful message was receiving such undeserved criticism. In fact, I feel like a lot of people haven't really understood Day. They have not understood how he feels nor have they understood the reasons behind his decisions or his anger (he was not angry with his brother for the accident itself nor was he angry with Mhok for the lie itself). It's a shame that people only see the surface of everything the series is really showing and don't explore it in depth.

The series shows us different realities and different possibilities, and teaches us that they are all equally valid. Last Twilight is a song to resilience, to the ability to adapt to new circumstances and situations. It teaches us that, although we cannot always change our reality, we can change the way we face it. Day is a resilient person, a clear example of fighting and overcoming and that does not change, regardless of the ending. So I encourage you to watch the series again from the beginning and, this time, reflect on what they are showing you. It is very unfair that a series is brought down simply because people have not understood the message

What Day is referring to is his life at the beginning, when he discovered that he would go blind and that his…
I'm surprised that people have interpreted Day's words to mean that to be normal is to be able to see... Hasn't Day repeated over and over again that he didn't want anyone to pity him? Hasn't Day said time and time again that he doesn't want to be treated or seen differently simply because he can't see? Because he is a normal person and wants to be treated as such. Have you forgotten all this?
How can you say that this series is ableist when it shows the opposite? They have strived to teach us during 12 episodes that people with disabilities can have autonomous, full and happy lives. We see it through Aon and we see it through Day. Let's not forget that everything Day achieved, he achieved while he was blind. Day was already happy before he regained his sight, so his current happiness does not depend solely on being able to see.

The series is not telling us at any point that disability must be cured to be happy. Day has an injury for which there is a treatment. They tell us from minute one, and from minute one, he is on the waiting list. Day was not born blind nor does he have a permanent disability. My question is: would you say to those people who have the same injury as Day and who have also had surgery that their experience is not valid? That everything they have lived, experienced and learned as blind people does not count because in the end they have regained their vision? Is there only one valid experience in the world? Is there only one reality and only one representation? Isn't that a bit discriminatory? Would you say to those people: don't have surgery, it is better that you remain blind, so everything you have previously experienced will not have been in vain? Because then, if you are not able to empathize with a fictional character, you will not do so with a real person. Day has been misunderstood so many times that I feel like he has never really been understood.
