There is not a lot of romance. He has his revenge so he is looking at her from that side even though there is attraction right away while she has her own issues. I wouldn't call them enemies but there is a significant complication in the way. Once that gets sorted, it is lovely. She also isn't there just as a love interest.

Anyway don't miss out on the best drama of the year over this if you can. It is worth watching and is a big deal for ZJY career, being a part of this will help her out a lot for future projects.

There is very little romance, I think you should be able to watch no problem. The FL does have a role in the overall plot. It is worth it, phenomenal drama, it would be a shame to miss it.

It is not like NiF because the ML is way less in control than the ML of NiF. Mei Changsu was an adult man with connections and experience. Zanghai is a little boy when his parents died and has been taught in order to get his revenge but real life is something else so he repeatedly finds himself in trouble once he finally sets off and is sometimes bailed out by other people. Some of these instances are actually really intriguing and you end up waiting a lot of episodes to figure it all out.

So while he does have a group of people he needs to get rid of, that part is similar, he also needs to investigate further and it is definitely nowhere near as smooth. I loved both dramas but in Zanghai I had to use my brain more to try and guess in advance where it was going. I definitely recommend you try it, I haven't seen a drama this well done in a long time.

If it means anything to you, it really was and is a real explosion in China and pretty much the primary reason apart from the excellence of the whole crew was that people engaged in guessing on who is who and how it will unfold. The phenomenon even got to newspapers, the so called "wild screenwriters".

Yes, there is one successful medical drama and for that one, quite a few that are not. I feel really awkward about mentioning other actors here so you can believe my word or not but yes, I could actually name right now a medical drama of a major acting name that got announced and then
withdrawn. His name didn't count at all, it was simply gone.

In my opinion, China is too unstable when it comes to censorship and medical dramas have additional hurdles apart from the usual review, that it is simply very risky to go there. This doesn't mean I won't support him if he chooses it but it can go sideways, fast. He is swimming in offers, if these melons are true he has turned this down and only agreed after the promise of an altered script. Again, IMO too much risk, especially because black water armies will come en masse. Like I said though, if he chooses it, I will 🤞🤞🤞

No, no romance. This is a male centric drama so don't expect much for ZYT character, she should be on par with the character of RSB's mother.

The crew is not great. The screenwriter especially is a problem while the director is better but none of this is close to either Zanghai or Spying or the upcoming movie crews.

Medical dramas in China are always risky, regardless who takes them. There are frequent real life scandals that affect them and public perception of them is often really harsh. It is fair to say any medical drama in China is potentially very risky. I don't want to mention other actors but at least one major name got absolutely roasted for his even though he is usually a public darling and another had a whole drama that was officially announced withdrawn because of the initial reactions.

If not liking him maybe stepping into a mine field makes me an anti, then there is something seriously wrong here.
