I don't think he's alive. I think he's coming to the s3 promos because: 1. His character and performance were so loved. 2. He didn't go to the s2 promos because he wasn't prepared to show himself in public and also the korean press was very critical with him before the season 2 was released. Now he's more confident and feels more loved so he decided to attend this promos even if his character is not alive
