I started watching Korean and then Chinese dramas after being diagnosed with cancer in 2020.  Reading subtitles in order to follow the story is a terrific distraction from worrying about my woes and if I will live to see another day.  I have watched a variety of genres, but enjoy the historical palace series the most  especially the ones from the Qing Dynasty.
