I love the Reply series but i think that this one is not as good as the others. I enjoy it the stories but it doesn't captivate me anymore. The story itself is quite good but no fun at all. Let's take the boys for example : Sun Woo is the smart boy, Jung Hwan is the guy who try to act cool and hide his feelings, Taek is the sensitive one who is in his own world of baduk and Dong Ryong is kinda the foolish guy. With those descriptions you can already have in mind which one has the most potential to be the husband. The storyline is kinda boring if you want my opinion. For those who already know the Reply series here it is my opinion : The 1st Reply 1997 was perfect because it was a new stories with a good laugh and suspence. The 2nd Reply 1994 was also good and really refreshing ( the story line concentrates more about university life and the chemestry with all the cast was just amazing) even if we suspected a long time ago who the husband was. But the 3rst Reply 1988 - this one - is like a bad remake of the Reply 1994. I can feel that the production wants us to doubt about who the husband is gonna be but it's SO obvious that she's going to end with which is great but no more exciting to find out). I also have to admit that Hyeri is good at acting but sometimes she is too much in her reaction and it become kinda of annoying. I will just recommand this drama is you just want a simple drama to watch. Don't expect it to be full entertaining.
