The short version: I believe you have to meet a show where it is. I try not to go into an action comedy and expect it to be a noir gore fest, or start a romcom and expect it to be pride and prejudice. For me, a story only has to make sense within the world of that story and context. So I like to think I'm pretty generous with my ratings and reviews.

That said, I also believe in dragging overdone tropes with no originality whatsoever. You can catch me in comment sections dragging simulator green flags (usually male leads) with the personality of wet tissue, and hyping up reciprocal romance dynamics because they are a dime a dozen!

Tropes and Characters I Absolutely Detest: A green flag ML whose only personality is to be a green flag from start to finish, emotionally stunted cardboard cutout characters, passive, snobby, and insufferable FLs. Also hate childhood connections/past life/time travel/time loop fantasies.
