I thought that pic in the article was out of a kdrama lol...the clarity and quality! Needed to do a double take to confirm that it was Taecyeon. Definitely does not look like a sasaeng pic to me...those are usually grainy and pixellated and the subjects are usually lightyears away in the frame like they were shot on a telescope...and since when is the go-to proposal pose known to every human ever just a birthday present haha...these idols and their fans need to chill xD

I dont understand the rationale behind an NIS agent deciding to make himself a highschooler when he could've easily been a teacher instead? I mean wouldn't their goal be to blend into the role as seamlessly as possible? Maybe screenplay-wise, it's for more comedic effect? Anyway ig you'd have to watch the drama to see why 🤔

Since according to the summary, jae pil is both the female leads' first love, I wish they just confirm who he ends up with in the beginning alone so I know who to root for (like in True Beauty xD)

Not really...they are actors. They are meant to be sporting different looks and appearances for different characters in different shows. This is true for every film industry...only drama fans seem to want their actors looking like the template kdrama cut out in every single show regardless of the genre or role. If anything, his filmography so far has shown that he has immense range as a performer and isn't afraid to go for diverse looks for the different characters he plays.

Honestly, I don't think Won Ji An is the right choice to star in a romance with Park Seo Joon, not only because…
I agree somewhat not because of stardom tho, it's only the age gap. Last time park seo joon had a similar age gap, it was with kim dami in Itaewon Class and there wasn't really any chemistry between them, especially obvious towards the end when they actually get together. I noticed this with When the Phone Rings too...the age gap was really awkward with the leads, especially because chae soo bin has a baby face and yoo yeonseok looks more mature and would've looked better with someone more mature looking as well or closer to his age. Actually ig it's not the age gap itself but a lot of korean actresses just dont have mature enough features when paired up with older men if that makes sense. And what ends up happening is they give older brother younger sister vibes more than lovers.

This has been especially triggering to see now with the whole Ozempic race in the west that's spreading across the globe...read somewhere that Lusi was in the 40s (kgs) in body weight since her new "look" released? That is by no means even remotely healthy for any functional adult human with her height and body type. This is ridiculous and this whole "skinny" and romanticizing unhealthy beauty standards train all the entertainment industries across the world including soul-sucking influencers are now selling as the new fad has to go.

Do you have a thing for couples without any chemistry and acting skills whatsoever?
How would you know they don't have chemistry when they haven't acted together? And are we talking about the same people and watching the same content...both jung so min and park seo joon are two of the finest performers in kdramas. They both do romance really well too

I hope this won't end up like The Impossible Heir with the ML and SML and other characters' motivations behind their goals remaining vague and unexplored for the entire show because of a lack of character depth.

Ya let's totally just start romanticizing one poison coz something else is getting all the clout, great logic.…
Ha! The classic "i dont want to continue this conversation" when you run out of a relevant counter argument to the discussion so you turn to assuming the other person's intellect and character instead. As for someone that cares so much about personal freedom you seem to be really hesitant to appreciate freedom in differences of opinion. I dont wish to continue this lukewarm discussion either. Peace ✌️

You're right. I don't care for personal freedom at the expense of social responsibility. By your logic, a serial killer can also practice their "personal freedom" by going on a killing spree but now that wouldn't be so ethical/moral of them now would it? A narcissist can continue to practice their personal freedom by continuing to manipulate the people around them but surely that's not the "right" thing to do, is it? see how silly those examples sound? That's how silly it is to generalize something so nuanced like personal freedom when you live with other people in a society *gasp*. If you or i were living on planet mars for eg. with no other human beings to care about, then we can talk about personal freedom with all the risky or harmful behaviors there are.

And idk about you but personally, if someone became a lifelong addict or lost even a few good years of their life because they listened to my biased misrepresentation of a harmful substance or behavior, i would hope that someone puts a restriction on my personal freedom for humanity's sake lol

Someone's personal freedom does not give them a free pass to endorse risky behaviors by diminishing it's risks. And since i wasn't clear in the original comment, i was not talking about medical use of prescribed drugs for people who need it. I'm talking about recreational use. That comes with social responsibility. Not just personal freedom.

Ya let's totally just start romanticizing one poison coz something else is getting all the clout, great logic. Substance use in any form shouldn't be getting apologists spreading misinformation online trying to endorse it. The legalizing of recreational drugs has more nuance as to why it happened, having more to do with politics, power and control and less to do with it being comparable to some low addiction potential stimulant like caffeine or tea. Of course caffeine abuse is a real thing too but the literature on marijuana or any other psychoactive substance is way above anything that even makes this a comparison. It's called a gateway drug for a reason. People need to stop expecting their idols to behave like Gods, and we can have a separate conversation about that without making this an opportunity to defend substance use of any kind no matter who does it, law enforcement or a freaking doctor.
