I am new to Dramas in general. I would like to record my thoughts on most series I watch.

I treat this site more as a database than a social media platform.

The only movies I will review / record on this site will be related to television dramas.

I understand a very small amount of Japanese; I do not understand Korean or Chinese dialects.

I favor legal investigative, police procedural and general mystery shows over other genres. 

Shows where characters are excellent, or striving to be excellent, at their professional jobs hold my interest as well.

History and literature have always been interests of mine; sometimes I will watch historical dramas (or romance-based dramas) if I can be assured they will have decent-quality acting performances (read: casts that aren't full of pretty boys and models). 

Not really a fan of comedic shows as I feel the timing of comedy is sometimes dependant on being a native speaker.

I like Sentai shows, because who didn't as a kid?

I pay a lot of attention not only to the cast of a show, but directors, writers, composers and sometimes the editors and cinematographers involved. Most of the time an actor or crew member will take on a 'track record' of high quality work within my mind; I will usually watch two-three other shows they have been involved in. That web of 'track records' is how I choose which shows to watch next. I'm not someone who will binge-watch a drama for the heck of it.
