I think it's Chinese Government sensorship where they have banned dramas from altering the past or something 😂 "Summit of Our Youth" is recent example of this absurdity.

You replied way too fast 😂, Not just identity but everything was insincere for almost half through drama on her part, Sure I agree pairing was cute and they did started to show chemistry around episode 10 but it can't be neglected that the base was all but lies. (Drama is fun and sweet but wouldn't say best) or I think I had too High expectations from reviews and I'm little disappointed.

With all honesty - Sincerity was lacking for more than half through the story which made action on her part not so sincere to me and it's kinda hard to digest.

What do you mean starting to end? I'm on 8th episode and there's nothing yet but deceiving? I hate plots when one is aware of everything and other is oblivious. They are not equal footing so I don't yet think it's anywhere near wholesome but connection from one side is pure lies.

Episode 8 : I'm not feeling the connection at all? She is only deceiving and that's all? Will it get better or are we going the route "Because he loves her, everything will be forgiven and She will have no regrets" when clearly what she is doing is deceiving?

I don't know but I loved their couple dynamic (It was cute and felt real) - both leads had strong sense of responsibility towards their own nation and had their reasons to how they behaved initially and later. Back and forth totally made sense too (She did what she did thinking in good faith to her people but it was very single minded of her and wasn't perspective) but nonetheless it did hurt both of them (If that's what you are talking about?) - The only thing that didn't made sense was his cousin's falling for the FL (that was forced trope).

So 24 episode we have to watch them go back and forth 🤦

Japan is known for manga and anime and has more world wide audience for the same, Japnese produce beautiful stories in anime and most of Japnese live action are adaptation from Anime ( They make it make work in Anime but the same may look awkward in live action or maybe since they lack audience in comparison so doesn't same have level of budget as comparison to other platforms) well there's also cultural differences and Anime viewers mindset is completely different from that of Drama watchers.

Let's see, Honestly I wouldn't say it was upto my taste, I did like the characters but story didn't go too deep or I don't know my standards are way too high perhaps? - ML's sect, Royal family were barely touched at all - I would say it felt like drama was performed on stage with limited resources? Even CGI was average. Well overall 7.3/10 ( but that's just my opinion ).
