I wanted story to speak it with good writing and direction and to be it consistent throughout the series. What you and above comments don't understand here is that I have no issue with her being strong but I want story to justify it properly. I love strong characters but when story does it right.
You said she is smart? No, Her character is made to look like smart that's all.
This drama feels like a story for 12 year old kids and that disappoints me.

Does that take away the power imbalance?

I do not discredit where credits are due. Being her strong doesn't mean she didn't make a bunch of bad choices at the same time and her defeating every elder there is plot making her strong - I call it bad writing.
I'm criticizing bad writing, bad acting and direction here.

Again if you are taking what I said hypothetically as literally that's a problem on your part not mine ( I hate it when arguments over story or over drama smh end up becoming personal). Again If you think this is good I don't think you understand what good means and a strong FL doesn't need be most powerful person in their universe (that doesn't even make sense).

Lol, They survived a direct hit by truck, a fight 2V20+ with everyone using AR ( that too after getting hit by truck), Bombs and still weren't even scratched. 😂 I really don't know what to say. Action movie I guess.
The first heist is the best part of the movie after that you will be introduced to sh*t load of nonsense but that goes hands in hands with a action movie where leads have ultimate protection of plot armor. (I still can't figure out why the Killer didn't kill the girl while he had the chance. Odd because he never hesitated from killing even once).

Well I can't really disagree with that.

Idealistically that's good thing, but that doesn't make it a good story and nor it makes the flaws disappear. It's just good concept with bad execution.

He did perform well but his acting was direction less. Nonetheless I agree he gave his 100% to what he was provided.
But FL had far more screentime than anyone else in the story and her acting wasn't really convincing. I have tried her other works too and there hasn't been any improvement to her acting skills.


Anyways, My point is giving acting a 10 to this drama when it was one of the biggest flaw of the drama. I can't agree with you.

I call it bad writing, direction and acting. You people just see " Oh FL is beating bunch of people.. yeahhhh.... It's 10/10 story" 😮‍💨 As if 😆
There was no direction to what story was leading to but writer still wanted to smh add all the elements but couldn't even get the timing right. Lol, forget it you don't even understand what consistent power scaling means.

You giving 10 to acting is where my mistrust in MDL rating comes from 😮‍💨.
You know the feeling when you cook something without knowing anything about cooking so instead of cooking you follow the steps in recipe and it ends up tasting bad.
That's the feeling I got watching this drama. Ingredients were added because recipe asked them to be there but timing of everything was so out of place.

Anyhow, give it a try - Except for bad direction, messy screenwriting and FL's bad acting it's mostly ( wholesome maybe?). Or SL role feels kinda forced on him but okay. I mean ML is THERE.. mostly and loved (probably?). FL does care about him - In one particular arc of 2-4 episode out of 37. But...

Power scaling is heavily imbalanced in this story. She is powerful as long as plot demands it otherwise needs rescue most of the time. Her Aunt is more of a badass than her.

I couldn't decide if it was bad or just bad 😮‍💨. Story was just inconsistent and FL is not very good with micro expressions, so you can't tell if she genuinely means what she is saying or if she is pretending. She need to work on her micro expressions because I couldn't feel the chemistry at all.. like she didn't even try and rescue felt so out of place because her expressions were so inconsistent with what was happening in the story.

One more thing, They were two different sects which operated separately but when one sect is using certain things it is okay and if other does it now it's a problem (They used every possible item to heal SML 😂) I'm amazed how he didn't gain some super mysterious superpowers at that point.

I wouldn't say it's totally not "not worth it" but It's not a story I would want to remember or re-watch.

Literally, Everything in this story was fine except for this character. I don't understand how writer mess up this character?
I love how Yifan always put her boundaries around him and never allowed him to cross any lines at all. There wasn't even a moment of hesitation nor any second thoughts but a firm "No" to every and all advances.
I guess she neglected his comments because it really meant nothing for her or her relationship with ML so it was more like a dog bark for her. I remember she even said that his remarks didn't had any kind of effect in her relationship with ML.

Devastation? I don't know buddy but it's one of the good romance drama.

It's worth watching. I personally enjoyed it and it got better and better.

It was really a good story - Dude, Really went all out for a promise to his wife.

Man, This was a good movie. Action, Mystery and now we are stuck with that cliffhanger + unanswered questions.

You have watched a so many drams...
Anyhow I agree with your opinion on this drama. After finishing it I didn't feel it was anything special. Good watch but not as great as people claim it to be.
