Why is this guy rarely in dramas?I've been wondering about him and Choi Woo Shik but I know that CWS is mostly a movie actor so how come Go Kyung Pyo is never casted?I don't know about his dramatic role abilities but I think he's pretty funny,I remember seeing him in SNL Korea and Naeil's Cantabile.

Title Youth of May
FYI for those unfamiliar with the Gwangju Uprising ( from wiki): "The Gwangju Uprising was a popular uprising…
Wow,I am definitely watching this.I come from a country where similar events happened in 1973 (Greece),university students went into a strike against the military dictatorship that ruled the country. That was what triggered the restoration of democracy and I actually happen to be a student at the university where the strike started.I had no idea something similar had happened in S.Korea and even more tragic since there were so many deaths.I think this series can be very interesting and touching.

I don't understand why everyone seems upset about episode 18,I really don't hate Byung In that much (I mean,I hate him,he's so annoying but I don't hate that he exists plot-wise) and I kind of love that constant about-to-cry expression on his face because it makes the character even more dislikable.I am sceptical about the preview though,I was convinced So Yong is gone but hearing Byung In saying that about the memories makes me think that maybe this is not the case.Idk,this guy is so obsessed with the original queen that the most fitting thing for him would be to somehow put him in her body and leave him there forever lol.Too twisted?I watch weird stuff that's why.

wait, do yall think i should continue? i watched the first 2 eps, tried forcing myself to watch the 3rd ep, but…
The most fun part of the drama is the begining,if you don't like it then I doubt you are going to enjoy the rest. For me the first episodes were quite nice because I liked the chemistry between the leads and the funny parts but then the story slowly dies, the way things are done is pretty anticlimactic.

I can't understand whether the queen is actually dead for good and the Chef is actually into the king and just uses the whole "sharing a body with a woman" as an excuse because he's never been into men before ,or if they actually share the body.If the first is truth then I am comfortable with him finding happiness in another era as a woman, but if not I wouldn't consider him sharing a body with another person forever as a good ending.

Although the last couple of episodes felt unnecessary,I enjoyed the ending and I liked how they took time to show that the mayor's son was saved from a life of bitterness and probably crime.

Eric Bana in 'the Other Boleyn Girl' is still my favorite (and historically more accurate) portrayal of Henry…
It's interesting that you like the Philippa Gregory adaptations because I think they take their selves a little too seriously for what they are. They are also not the most accurate, the costumes are meh and they have included magic in the first two shows. Also they have managed to make every female lead very unlikable imo, even Catherine of Aragon!I always thought that the Tudors weren't meant to be exactly informative or even that deep, surely there were some serious and nicely done scenes (apart from Anne's execution,I also loved how they did Catherine Howard's) but it was mostly beautiful people wearing cute costumes and getting naked a lot and a dose of violence to get you into the historical mood .Meaning it was purely entertaining and it was very honest about it I think, even the acting was weird for a historical drama but we still loved it.The most accurate is the Wolf Hall as they mentioned above, yet I found it quite boring and I hated the costumes.

Title Sweet Home
Dissapointing, it started off good then at the middle it went kind of downhill, i feel like i'm watching korean…
I don't know,I gave it 8.5,honestly I can't say I like it more than Kingdom for example but A) they have managed to put me in the mood, and the music got stuck in my head and B) I became very attached to the characters which is generally very hard for me.I am a person who drops shows very easily and I watched all of this wanting for more so not bad at all.

I agree. The CGI was very hit or miss for me but everything else definitely made up for it. I thought the script…
I know,I also became very attached to the characters

Kingdom is fantastic, and let's not forget Sweet Home (although it's 2021 I guess).I am not a fan of this much CGI but the music, the characters and the cinematography are just breathtaking.

Really? How many have you seen? Most OCN dramas are pretty dark.
I mean both.God's Quiz and Voice weren't heavy for me.Especially the first.I loved God's Quiz btw. It's an atmosphere thing I suppose, rather than just the plot.

Dark is for me different than heavy/hard to watch.I haven't seen them all, mainly some detective and supernatural ones.Dramas of these genres from other networks start happy but turn super dramatic really quickly with family members dying or betraying the lead. This isn't a pattern in ocn dramas from what I've seen.I don't dislike dark themes,I just want to be warned from the begining about what I am watching. For example Strangers from Hell was horror-ish from start so I enjoyed it.

I'm excited about this drama, and can't wait to binge it. Not sure if you've seen The Guest by OCN, but that one's…
No,I haven't.Any good?

THIS is exactly my cup of tea,Light and dramatic at the same time,I don't know how to explain this but OCN dramas have this vibe in general, they show very serious stuff happening to the characters but they aren't heavy in a way (except for Train, that one I didn't enjoy).

I am usually not that person who associates the actors to their characters, but this guy is creeping me out since Strangers from Hell and now I'm thinking whether I should start this.Thankfully,I had watched Goblin before that,so he looked cute to me there,is he a good character here?
