The original composition by Jeongyo was meant to be played by him alongside Pi O. So I am kind of hoping some magic doctor is going to be found to resolve Jeongyo's nerve damage. Realistic?No,but it is a drama.Also,I came to realise that the boys were never friends,but only practice buddies. Jeongyo obviously wanted to be friends with Pi O but the latter never seemed to share the same sentiment and now he's just helping Jeongyo because of guilt. I don't know where I'm going with this but it's just a realisation I made that their relationship was not very strong in the first place. And why do I get the feeling that grandpa knows almost everything? The his daughter ordered the kidnapping so he's trying to make it up to Jeongyo by passing the baton to him,and that Jeongyo probably remembers everything and seeks revenge,hence the piece named "Nemesis" delivered directly to Pi O. I wonder whether he'll try to somehow protect his grandson though or just let it all unfold.
What has changed Jeongyo to make him become so much more confident? Also I don't understand why he's so vengeful…
he has propably twisted the events in his memory and remembers that Pi O tried to hurt him (perhaps he's confused their fight near the pond the night before with the actual shooting incident)...that or he doesn't and the writers are playing with us,he only wants to take revenge on the mother...who knows
why do I feel like there are signs of Bi O starting to have the same bratty behaviour about being jealous of Jeongyo,like in the past? I hope I'm wrong,cause it can be sort of justified in a troubled teenager with a horrible family,but not now,not anymore and especially after his friend was missing for so many years.
I think people are being too critical of this drama tbh,there are way worse out there with better ratings. Imo Pros; I liked the aesthetics and it did somehow feel more realistic than your average joseon drama since the begining. Most strict societies in history were rooted in scandal,just look at the victorians...I liked how they clearly showed the wife knowing to look for a concubine when she couldn't produce an heir,or accepting her husband's affections when she clearly did not care for him. It surely was how things worked back then but joseon dramas will rarely show this side. Also,honestly the vulgarity was kind of expected in a show called The Scandal...I mean come on.Cons; The pace was painfully slow for me and the main reason I fast forwarded a lot of scenes. I can't decide whether it just had too long of a start or this is simply not an 8 episode story. And finally,I cannot recall having watched Nana before in a drama but that performance was not it if you ask me. It felt like she was always just like 👁👄👁 this if you get me.
I don't think that Jeongyo necessarily believes Pi O arranged the kidnapping. It's more of a combination probably of how unthankful his old friend has always been,even recently in this interview,of how Pi O profited of the situation even though almost everyone knows it was his mother's doing and even how Jaein seems to look how to gain profit for Pi O from Jeongyo by shamlessly asking him to get him out of his slump without even caring about Jeongyo. It's like realising that you never mattered to anyone and that's why they treated you like trash,while they mattered to you.
I wonder how people be hating on Pi-o. Both leads are/were pretty unfortunate. I feel bad for both of them personally…
dude suspected his mother all along but seemed to have no problem with that and enjoyed his fame for 10 years before remembering that he only won the competition due to Jeongyo's notes,the person who helped him the most while Pio O only mistreated him,never thanked him properly for the sheet,and then then just let him go before his guilt returned to haunt him...yeah,I'm not a fan either
No more school boy era and no more innocent Jeongyo I believe (I mean they did almost murder him). We'll finally see Jun Young's acting shining. Not that he was bad in the first half but let's just say he didn't pass as a school student easily.
This is admitedly entertaining,however there are things I don't like/find odd or boring: 1)That the grandpa keeps saying his grandson has no talent and Pi O keeps asking him why...how many times,seriously? 2)I find Pi O's character kinda nasty. I get it,he is a teen with family issues and he feels jealous of Jeong Yo,that can happen. But he keeps dragging him to this hot and cold dynamics,completely ignoring his admittedly more serious and urgent problems when he could just keep him away and not hang out with him after practice. 3)I like Jun Young but he doesn't look like a school student,he is very obviously close to 30 and yoy could maybe guess 25 minimum.

Yeah,I read that. I'm just saying that maybe he just knew that his mother had something to do with Jeong Yo's convenient disappearance (without necessarily knowing about kidnapping under actual gun point) but was so blinded by his wish to impress grandpa,so he didn't question it at that point. And he later felt the guilt

What I was thinking,however I also thought the kidnapping might have had something to do with Jeong yo's previous illegal activities. Perhaps Pi O refused to help him hide?It's clear the boys had a fallout earlier,hence the hand injury. Although the fight could have been for the girl...I do wish Jeong yo comes back as a successful pianist and isn't forced to quit again after the whole thing.
