I have suspected that she has some kind of connection to the group of western medicine practitioners. Still there…
I doubt that Yi Rim is a child of the former king because every time the current king mentions his roots he gets all bitter and insulting instead of feeling guilt or remorse (Why would he speak ill of the royal bloodline?Even if he had overthrown the king by himself, they would still be relatives-same dynasty. Also wouldn't he feel responsible for Yi Rim instead of treating him this way?) .This makes me think that the prince is probably the child of a traitor, possibly another prince/younger brother to the king. This would explain the treatment he's getting imo.

I seriously don't undestand what happened to his acting after My Girl because he was good there but I cannot say the same about his other works (especially The noble detective). The last hope was ok too but it's funny because those two are the hardest to find and probably the least popular.

hae ryung is of noble birth, i see no reason why she can't marry him .her brother is a noble at least
I remember the eunuch telling him they couldn't marry and I assumed it has to do with nobility ranks (perhaps her family is a lower rank noble family).Maybe I remember a different scene from another drama, not sure anymore.

Maybe it's just American culture, but I never see others go out to have a tea or coffee. Just a tea or coffee-…
It's very common where I live to go out just for coffee, like you would go out for drinks. It is a pitty they don't drink their beverages but from what I understand, they might have an issue with timing and saying their lines clearly if they actually have to drink.

I only watch beacause I love Min Ki at this point,I think he is my favourite type of crazy. The show would actually be interesting if it wasn't for the boring subplot with the female lead's ex husband that I couldn't care less about. It's true that the drama is generally all over the place but I think this is because they are trying to fit too many things into one episode in like every episode.Every time we get the accidents, the victims' drama, the heroine's personal drama, rich people being evil and the rest of the team doing their thing...instead we sould be getting the accidents+victims story, the team working and interacting and in some episodes the back stories of the team members (this is just my opinion). The main character is not bad ,her detective skills are cool but I do find her a bit boring for me.Generally,I wouldn't say it's a bad drama but judging from the fact that I have to skip a lot of scenes ,I wouldn't recommend it either.

A few thoughts I'd like to share about this drama since we're getting close to an ending (or maybe season 2?)...First of all,I find this a very entertaining drama to watch and that's all I ask from a tv show in the first place. If it's not boring or too cringy,we are good...I rarely expect them to be actual masterpieces.

Elements that I love : I like how the young prince admited his feelings about Hae-ryung soon enough and started acting on them.I admit that his character hasn't been my favourite, neither has the actor who portrays him,but I have started to appreciate him more after being relatively straight-forward (as much as a secluded person of his age could have been).I also love all the silly stuff he does like the cringy talks and trying to impress Hae-ryung ,it makes me smile like an idiot because it's so realistic and I remember my self in his place (first love...the things we do :p ).
I am officially in love with Officer Min.Sometimes I feel like he is here for us older girls to crush on :p But seriously,he has everything so far,a back story, family issues, somewhat mysterious but kind character, bravery and looks.I am not too bothered about him not ending up with the female lead though, even if he likes her,I don't see him being head over heels for her and therefore it's fine.I just hope he doesn't die or anything (I will be more than upset).
I also find the leading lady likable and relatable. Some people seem to be confused as to why Hae-ryung isn't as crazy and brave all the time, but I find it realistic and logical.Firstly, she's not insane, she can read the situation and decide whether she can do certain actions without getting into serious trouble or not.The times she does get into trouble seem more of an adrenaline rush type of thing to me.Secondly, people can't be feeling confident and brave every day.If the lead was a constant trouble maker, this would be a very different story.
The rest of the characters seem pretty likable as well.Even the annoying ones like the King have some reasoning behind their actions which I appreciate.

Things that confuse me: There is obviously a darker/dramatic subplot but we are in episode 24 and I still don't see it.Something 's up with the prince and and we also kind of know that Yi Rim and Hae-ryung cannot marry due to the difference in rank (I think they've mentioned it) so I don't understand where the story is going at all.The only thing I can guess is something happening to the prince and the girl ending up with officer Min,both having lost their previous loves...but it doesn't seem to be this type of drama.

Are we sure there'll be a season 2?Because I can't find anything on the matter...

This is cute and I want to watch more. However I feel it's going to get all heavy and complicated soon enough beacause...korean dramas (this is usually when I drop them)!Prayer to the drama gods; Can we please have a nice healthy brotherly relatioship for once? You know, without the lovely princes being at each others throats by episode 10 or something, dramatic accusations of treason, etc...thank you!

Good idea, beautiful acting and a strong begining but they could have tried a little more with the concept of happiness.Let me explain...the first episode is very strong, seeing the suffering of the character accompanied by the realistic settings and Tae Joon's acting definitely gets you into the story. However I absolutely disagree with what is presented as the definition of happiness. He takes the pill and what? He's suddenly a CEO,has a big house and expensive clothes and that's it,boom, happy?Surely having his father healthy and his mother found is also a major part ,yet the first thing we see is that ceo tag...At this point one can say that the character chose to reject this type of "happiness" but obviously he rejected the fake reality without necessarily understanding that this isn't the only kind of happiness. If they could have taken this concept a little deeper,I would call this mini drama brilliant!

This drama is shockingly shallow even by asian drama standards lol...Also the male lead is weird,he seems cute and fluffy at first but he also randomly bullies his classmate as we see from the flashbacks and generally keeps looking for trouble one way or another. The female lead on the other hand seems to be changing moods a little too fast and is generally hard to understand as well, maybe they deserve each other. Finally, while the second male lead is incredibly annoying, over the top drama queen, the second female lead is probably the only relatable character since her bad behaviour in the begining obviously reflects her misery.Overall I have to admit it is a very easy watch since the story is light (thankfully) but it's not the best rom com out there.

Beautiful movie. The story is quite simple and seemingly uninteresting but the scenes between the characters are so strong so you end up invested in their relationships. The ending is sad but there is humour throughout.

I will never understand how this is so popular. The female lead is cringy and so is the male lead after a point,I only liked his old friend Eunhyuk and his story was kind of understandable but since the bromance never properly mended,I was disappointed. The rest of the story with the villain was just boring and I couldn't care less. The office scenes were cute and funny though.
