I gotta say, I think RSB has this thing of always being of top.
Remember the first episodes? She got angry cause LJL got the criminals, that she wanted to get (she wanted to get back at her family). She thought of him as her enemy cause of that. When LJL fell of the cliff, she didn't want to save him, while he was almost dying he begged to be saved. I'm sure that, if she didn't know who he was, she wouldn't save him.

Now, LJL is back at his place. RSB knew mrs. Yang needed to be freed, but she fought with LJL even though she knew his role, and what needed to be done. And I'm sure she only defended mrs. Yang in court cause both her sisters had to appear, and her name would be smeared if she didn't say she helped mrs. Yang, not a criminal.

Now, as you said, it'd make way more sense for LJL to expose Liang. To be honest, it's something they (writers) built from the beginning. Not only it's nonsense for RSB to uncover that, it's even more nonsensical for her not to tell LJL, since he is the magistrate, and is deeply involved in this.

Since ep 20, it seems they're trying to get parts of other dramas that people liked and are adding to this one. Since people are inclined to females centric, or top female leads. LJL used to be witty, he was an impressive ML, he always knew whatever RSB was planning even when she didn't tell him, cause he used to >think<. Now, he's been reduced to a ML that loves RSB. And this is such a common thing in cdramas, it's laughable. MLs that used to be cunning, ruthless, intelligent, lose it all when they fall in love and have to beg for favor.

Also, didn't she promise to forgive him for one thing before he left her standing in their wedding? Did the writers forget that or LJL has to be made the villain?

Glory started extremely strong, kind of different from other dramas. We could see the gears in MLs brain working, it was extremely pleasant. Now, it fell into something we see in every drama, nothing that catches our attention anymore.

Being completely honest, I'm still here cause of LJL. I ff a lot of scenes now. I'm mostly seeing his parts, the others I ff a lot (ofc I have to watch some parts, cause I don't wanna miss things, but I ff a lot cause they're too stupid now😂).

I think this is one of the greatest dramas I've ever seen. I took time to watch, and watched it slowly, enjoying each part of the drama. And wow, I love this drama.
I don't regret not watching it daily, I think these types of drama have 2 ways of enjoyment:
1. When you guess what's gonna happen
2. When you enjoy it fully, learning everything and not having time to mix things with your own opinion

Ikr. It'd be a waste for him, not only his career, but as a person. Being labeled and reduced to nothing but 'someone's husband'

Also, why are people wanting him to beg her? Beg for what, exactly? Cause he left her on their marriage day?
How come no one talks about the trap she set for him? He'd NEVER be able to be an official if he married her that day, cause of the promise grandma made her do. He'd have shackles and be forever attached to the Rong family.
He was never at fault, and till this day, RSB never told him about that! Actually, him leaving her there was him, unknowingly, saving himself.
The one that should beg to be with LJL is definitely RSB.

And there are people coming to defend RSB!! This is so toxiccccc. Idc whether she had to hide her emotions or not, we all saw how she talked back to her grandma. She can be active in a relationship if she wants, SHE DOESN'T WANT!

I agreeee. I think she could expand the Rong business to the capital. Since LJL's someone important to the emperor and his intellect is too great for just a provincial town. She could expand to the capital and live there with him, she'd be an administrator. Have plantations near the capital, and manage the business in the capital

Province? That's too low, it seems he's a duke. He can't be just a provincial prefect, it's not fitting of someone trusted by the emperor.

Although they definitely aren't on equal footing. LJL has more freedom than RSB, but RSB appears more than than LJL

The way the drama is going, he will abandon his career and his only thing will be "Rong Shan Bao's husband". I hope he ends up alone, if it's gonna be like this

Now I hope there's a 2nd season. Maybe this one could end with LJL going to the capital and leaving RSB behind after noticing she doesn't care about their relationship as much as he cares. And then, 2nd season would be RSB realizing what she lost, and going to the capital to fight for him😌😏

It was! Even recently he was 1st billing. But as we've seen, this is basically Rong Shan Bao and the Rong family! That's why Neo's fans and many people are frustrated. Cause he's only being used as a tool and a lover for RSB, not as the main protagonist he should be

I agree. Although I didn't mind the distrustful part, that added some spicy to the drama. I dont like that they still keep thay up. RSB still doesn't trust LJL, she knows he'll do things for her cause she knows he loves her, but I doubt she loves him. I think she finds him amusing, useful, someone with a mindset similar to hers, good body build, handsome. And that's it, I don't think it's love.
If it really were love, she'd have prioritized him already. She doesn't even prioritize herself.
I like the drama because it's different, not like every drama (only the ML is like everything we've seen, being a simp). But I'm extremely frustrated with the situation with LJL. And from the trailers (till 30), it won't change!!! He'll keep fighting alone and trying to keep RSB, and RSB will stray more and more.

If we have an open ending, or an ending where LJL stays in the capital, away from the Rong family and RSB, for me, that's a HAPPY ENDING!
My boy deserves way more than just being RSB's simp/concubine/tool!

OmG, I completely agree, again! It wasn't on my watch list either, although not because of Yu Zheng. But I really wanted to give it a try for Neo and Nazha, this is the first drama with them that I'll be finishing, lol.
But I'm sad they made LJL appear to be a love boy, and RSB's character is not developing, she's still as slow (to give up on her family) as ever. She seems to want everything, but the only thing she actively fights for are her tea plantations. The rest appears for her, she inherited the tea knowledge privilege (being 1st born, 1st family, intelligent, Rong), even LJL literally fell in front of her, asking to be rescued. I hope she starts fighting for things other than tea leaves.

I'm kind of scared. As you said, this drama is about LJL, but we spent 26+ eps on the Rong family. Only had some small interactions with LJL, we'll have less than 10 episodes on him, and that's not even something we're sure.
I also hope he doesn't marry into the Rong family. He should be able to marry her as himself, and she should also manage her Rong house. Doesn't she wanna change things? Change this weird rule, they can be themselves and marry each other!!
