eh..probs not. I think the mother-in-law and her are in the whole thing, and her husband's innocent (or it doesn't…
I don't think husband is in the game. He works in KYG's company and even used to work with him in Argentina and he's probably told her a lot about him and company. Also he has a child same age as Da Bi. Perfect desguise for her to infiltrate in their lives by school and work affairs.

Ohh, no. Not real mother but a fake one. They've been planning for revenge together and pretending to be mother and daughter but their real relationship is unknown still.
I've got a question regarding the released plot summaries. One says it's about a USD 1.6 billion divorce with LRE in the middle of it and another says it's her own divorce from KYG. At first I thought the divorce is between KYG and HSR and the scandal of it being over a 3rd party and the crazy amount of settlement is goint to crush them, but with the second plot and with LRE wearing a wedding dress in the opening title, it seems she's going to marry him then ask for divorce. Now the series started with their affair scandal and went back 3 months to their first meeting, so they must have 2 divorces and a wedding to reach the infamous divorce plot, considering this, isn't this drama taking its time? Maybe it's just for the 1st eps. to show how KYG got infatuated by her but if they're going to keep making flashbacks and stares, I fear for a rushed pace in the future eps.
One of the most pointless things was WJ's mother subplot, she came as a big villain and left never to be seen again. Also Jung wook and Yoo jin's relationship, they seemed to be in love and she was aware of all his family dramas and really supported him, but suddenly they decided on I-don't-love-her-really-but-don't-want-her-with-anybody-else trope and she left forever too. His mother and grandmother were totally selfish too, they just thought about themselves.
It's lighthearted and funny and goes smoothly until ep 20-1 when a plot twist happens and even after that it's pretty OK but from ep. mid 30s onward it's a mess, a huge one. Decisions make no sense and suddenly everyones' IQ drop drastically.
I finally watched it adter putting it on hiatus mid airing, I must admit I'm quite disappointed with the ending. Entered the list of dramas I wish I'd never finished them.
I haven't seen the original movie but from what I remember it wasn't much of a HEA love story too. Not with that ending, if they'd wanted to make it for TV, they can get inspiration and remake it
It's rerunning on an old series channel and I'm rewatching it after many years, although I've forgotten the number of my watch!! It brings back many memories from my school days when everyone seemed to have a crush on Jumong😂 Can't believe it's been 14, 15 years already!
What is it all about? Was is supposed to be a new version of the original 2001 movie and the movie screen writer now have changed their about writing gay story? So it's been cancelled? 🤔😬
Contrary to other dramas, characters don't start to die in the last 10 eps. but there are 2 completely unnecessary deaths that seemingly are only there to make the audience (and characters) suffer. Baili's guard protected him from arrows for +20 eps. with a sword but suddenly he throws himself in front of one and dies. Even more ridiculous is Si yue's death. (I watched it on air but after all these months, it still makes me mad.) I always wondered what would be the use of that useless brother and finally he between all those alert and armed guards, shot from a far and AGAIN instead of easily shoving her traitor of a brother aside, Si Yue throws herself in front of it. Just to show us poor Bing Zhou is really fated to be all alone!!! If they'd planned to kill her, they should've done it on earlier attempts like the cave or fire which were more dangerous and convenient than a stray arrow by a girl obsessed boy! (Sorry for the rant)
It has a good and detailed plot but in some points especially in the 2nd half is messy and falls flat. There are 2 big plot twist revelations, the first one is fantastic and really shocking but the 2nd one is a oh-no!-anyway kind of revelation with motives that don't make sense. And that ending is unnecessary and rather stupid too. Actings are good, specially the 3 main characters. I haven't seen WY anywhere else so I don't know if it's wooden acting or intentional but here it matches his character's terse and rigid personality.
