Is ZZX supposed to be younger than ZH? And if so, by how many years? The actor is nearly a decade younger than XZ and both his face, manners and speaking shows he is younger and not just looks it.
He should go to hell now I need other enemies game
There's only 12 eps now, could the new enemies be as fleshed out as the current ones? Anyway, I want that wretched eunuch go next. He can song for the Marquis until others arive.
Since Marquis was the first unveilled enemy, he's probably the first to go but I hope not. He's my favourite villain here, keep him alive until the last few episodes.
The nerve of the Marquis asking ZH for a fair fight! Did you set for a fair fight when you ordered ignorant disciples and children being killed 10 minutes after being woken up in the dead of the night? π
Idk what the comments are saying, (I watch the day after release and there's so many unmarked spoilers) but chemistry…
I think you misunderstood my words, the flaw in written conversations, we were talking about why some people started to ship enemies and I said I believe as many stories make enemies to lovers, cold blooded love interest becoming good with love, etc their main theme, fans and reader/watcher start to like this trope too much and root for anyone who's got a good chemistry with the enemy. It's been like this forever and in many countries literatures.
About the KMLM, I said it as an example about how to redeem the villain, the writers make the bad one framed and not really bad. I don't like this kind of stories myself and don't understand why we must romatisize this kind of things. IDK if it's available in my public profile but it's been gathering dust in my watchlist since I dropped it mid-air and didn't continue.
Ok so I hope this one is cleared too. What I want is for ZH to take his revenge and live his life, there's no post-revenge plan for him. People around him treat it as if he only lives a rented life to take revenge and die as well.

I don't see them as father/son duo tbh, just what they are: a man and his right hand man, A brian behind someone's ambitions and I do like this dynamic and how ZH is making himself hard to replace. I meant that I haven't read comments shipping them but already seen stories which I gave a fast look to one. I'm one of the people rejecting romance and still do. Even about the FL, she has the potential to become an adversary so I hope the misunderstanding is cleared on this one. About the name I mentioned, if you meant HP/TR I just wanted to say it's more or less similar, someone with his parents' and his own could-be murderer, if fans can twist the cannon to match them they will do so.
Actually I've been kind of busy this week and since ep. 17 I just went through them so I didn't quite get the plot around YongRong and co. But the 3rd enemy does seems the most cunning and his masters are quite suspicious. If Marquis was the one doing the dirty work, he can be the pawn as you say and not the real master here.

I didn't say he was framed here, I was making an example and said in many similar stories, at last it turns out the evil person who'll end up as love interest had been framed, (kinda like Kill Me, Love Me. She thought he'd killed her family but he hadn't)
We've seen enough of Marquis' wickedness by now as not to doubt his guilt. Some people just like to explore the idea of making bed with enemies, as long as they don't twist the cannon in their favour to defend it or go overboard I don't care for it myself.

I know it's frustrating but one cannot control other peoples' minds or thoughts, I've actually read fanfic about them with ZH wanting to destroy him inside out. It also had nothing to do with Marquis' age, look how popular Harry Potter/Voldemort pairing is. ππ₯΄
About the games, here the villains had played their pieces before and they have no idea who is their current enemy, also ML has infiltrated them and keeps sabotaging their plans in his own interest. So they do play chess for their own gain but since they don't know the ML's intentions and think him dead so he is the planner here.
I just started watching this drama but I just can't bear seeing lots of comments about the "chemistry" between…
Idk what the comments are saying, (I watch the day after release and there's so many unmarked spoilers) but chemistry comes in many forms not just romantic. They do have a strong dynamic together and their shared scenes are specially good, full of tension and intrigue and my favourites, so probably that's what gives the people ideas. Also Marquis is very well written, he's not a shallow evil just for the sake of being evil or madman sort of villain.
This being said, in my own humble opinion many historical cdramas and novels have the enemies to lovers theme, even if in the most cases the evil one is turned out to be framed but still there are the so many tropes of dark love a/or famous difficult or even toxic relationships led to the true love stories so a lot of people reading/watching and enjoying them are bound to root for these kind of things in the fiction land as a general. I guess matching XZ with male characters is another point.
You know GM was the one who taught ZH strategy when they use the same method to keep the someone from hesitation. GM took ZH to his old home and made him remember everything he'd seen from his tunnel to strengthen his resovle.
And ZH told ZZX to remember how his mother, who was the only one loved him unconditionally, died to make him stay at the army.
Also ZH referred to him as teenager in ep. 28.
