The slapstick comedy is mostly in the early episodes. It really feels like the calm before the storm.
Then it slowly starts mixing comedy with more serious moments, and from there it just gets more intense in the upcoming episodes.

Which actress are you talking about, exactly? And are the people praising Hye-yoon the same people who were supposedly bashing that other actress, or are we just pretending the internet is one single hive mind now?

Also, the “3 romcoms in a row” claim kind of falls apart if you actually look at her filmography. Between those projects are sci-fi romance, mystery, thriller, psychological thriller… and Snowdrop, which is black comedy and where she’s an antagonist, not a romcom lead.

Her next 3 projects are horror, law and crime action, by the way. So unless those are romcoms now too, the “same role over and over” argument doesn’t really work.

So it’s pretty understandable that people aren’t “complaining about another romcom” when she isn’t actually doing romcoms back-to-back. This feels less like “nugu privilege” and more like you make a comparison that ignores context and filmography.

Maybe it’s because you’re a fan of that actor, but at least criticise things that are actually true. She has more than 60 works, including films and dramas, even counting her roles as an extra. It’s hard to believe she played the same type of role in all of them.
