I'd also rec Fortune Writer for it's unique plot, not a face switch story but lot of scheming going on. While I love it, the plot is a bit too fast paced at times.

To understand the story should I start with the novel or this show? Cuz when I tried MDZH's novel first I had to drop cuz it got too confusing for me then watched the drama and understood it better.

oh wowww I asked this question cuz I was hoping these 2 characters would have someone to fall in love with and would be secondary couples lol. It makes me feel better knowing that FL's general has someone and not unrequired love with FL throughout the story (I really like his character)
