I was hesitant to watch the second part of this drama because the first part had set the standard so high for me that I wasn't sure if the second part would be able to maintain it. You know how dramas sometimes start out really great, but like a curse, they somehow derail in the latter half? I was really afraid that this drama might follow the same pattern, so I initially decided not to watch the later episodes after seeing Ae Sun and Gwan Sik happily living together in their middle age.
But, I came across a lot of shorts about Geum Myeong's story and decided to give it a try—and I wasn't disappointed.
During that CO part, I cried so hard watching the flashbacks. The same goes for the father-daughter sunrise scene. Geum Myeong's parents are truly the best in the world. They are so sweet and caring toward her that I sometimes can't stop myself from screaming at the screen, telling Geum Myeong to hug her parents and show them love. She acts a bit distant toward them even though she loves them deeply, which feels really frustrating. But then I remember that I am the same way. Hugging my parents and expressing love through words feels cringey, corny, and insincere to me, so instead, I work hard to make them proud and give them the best life they deserve. So, I can't blame her either.
This drama really resonates with me in many ways, and it’s truly an amazing show.
Also, the breakup was done extremely well too. Most dramas show couples jumping from one relationship to another right after a breakup, but here, it took them a year to properly end things and several more months to move on. I feel sad about the ending Yeong Beom got, but I’m really happy with the decision Geum Myeong made. Like she said, if they had gone through with the wedding, they would have ended up resenting each other. His mom was truly a horrible person.
not feeling for me when she at high school, since she in love with her friend at church
She was in love with him at school. She only got over it after she knew her church crush didn't remember about the notes he gave her, which had his confession. This happened at college, so she liked that person until that happened in college.
Okay can somebody spoil me with the ending?? I dropped the drama at 5th ep but want to know what happened in the…
I'll be spoiling everything so if you don't want to know, don't read this.
Dong Jin found out some rules for the curse. 1- being in a 10 m radius around her is dangerous. 2- Having more than 10 exchanges with her is dangerous. 3- Being with her for more than 10 minutes is dangerous. 4- The precondition to being affected by the curse is for you to like her. 5- Confessing to her is dangerous. 6- Breaking all of the rules results in death.
The only person who didn't get hurt or die was her church crush. So Dong Jin found out that the only way the curse wouldn't affect you was only if Mi Jung likes the person back. So for his last attempt he went to Mi Jung, gave her a pen drive which had pictures of her Taebaek home and apology of her friend who first spread the rumour about her being a witch. They had more than 10 exchanges during which he didn't confess but Mi Jung realised what he was trying to say so she asked him to leave since he might get hurt.
After Dong Jin left a truck almost hit him, but we never saw what happened afterwards, he disappeared. Before disappearing he left clues for his detective friend, which he relayed to Mi Jung. Don Jin had written a blog about everything that happened around her. From which we also come to know that the detective was also a witch like Mi Jung.
Now Mi Jung was left to figure where Dong Jin went. She left for the place she had been talking about since the beginning of the series. There they met he confessed, she confessed The end.
Also as soon as Eun Sil, Mi Jung's friend realised that the detective was a witch, she fell in love with him. So they also got together in the last Ep.
I thought he was about to be hit by the white truck of doom in the final few seconds of episode 8 but the last…
At that moment he also said that the pattern was simple. What was the pattern? They never talked about it again. The first time when he said that, he jumped into the river to avoid getting struck by lightning, so what was the trick for avoiding the truck?
For those of you who keep insisting that the ML is not a stalker:Stalking is, at its basic level when you follow…
This is why drama's like this should not romanticise stalking. Because people will find excuses for those actions, which will in turn encourage such behaviours in real life.
Also whether he is or he's not a stalker is not up for debate. Dong Jin himself acknowledged that he was a stalker, as well as the detective.
I feel like the story had very high potential but was executed poorly.
I didn't like the ending. There was more chemistry between the main leads when he was delivering her groceries compared to the confession we got at the end. I feel like there wasn't enough interaction between the main leads to make Fl love him, so the confession at the end felt forced. Like she just said it so he won't get killed. I also think it was manipulative on the Ml's part to confess and just say it's my feelings and I respect your decision. Like what did he think would happen after that, of course she wouldn't want anyone to be killed because of her.
Apart from that, we never got the reason why she or the detective was cursed like that. They were approaching this phenomenon in a scientific way so they should've given us a plausible reason for whatever that's happened. Like what's the reason for the curse?
In Hidden Love, the marriage of that friend happens after Sang Zhi grows up, right? But in Episode 24, Sang Yan…
Sang Zhi was attending college at Yihe when Qian Fei got married. It was after Sang Zhi called Duan Jia Xu a central air conditioner and after Duan Jia Xu kind of figured Sang Zhi likes him. He figured she likes him at the wedding. After that Duan Jia Xu started courting her, and on Duan Jia Xu's birthday they officially got together.

Overall the last ep was a mess for me.
